"This was one of our favorite places we stayed in Portugal. The hotel was extremely charming with excellent staff. It’s located within the castle walls and near the entrance of the castle, which is open 24/7. The hot tub area is by reservation only (no charge), so me and my husband drank wine and watched sunset all by ourselves. They also provide thick robes in the bedrooms for this. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of options to choose from: meats, cheeses, cereal, fresh pastries, fruit and more. Highly recommend staying at this lovely Inn. "

"A lovely hotel. I think it’s family run and very friendly and helpful. Very clean and they have a restaurant for lunch and dinner as well as breakfast."

"It was right off the main entrance to the town across from the aqueduct-no need to drive up the narrow fortress roads into Elvas city center! Room was sufficient to my needs and lots of tv channels in several languages available. Breakfast buffet was pleasant and included hot scrambled eggs and bacon along with selections of pastries, drink, cereals, and fruit. If I should return to Elvas, I would stay there again-"

"Clean, friendly, room ok with lovely balcony and view. No lift Dinner ok for me.(Pork chops) not for my wife . Breakfast ok but coffee awful. I had fresh fruit, yogor, toast, juice and tea. Hot was scrambled egg (it ran out( and tiny sausages. No vale la pena. Super lady and young M an at reception and bar."

"The place is an old ducal palace like a posada but more reasonable price. I wondered around the gardens and pool area, well kept. Lots of other services I did not partake in. Good secure parking, pleasant sitting area near the bar with a very good painting of bulls . Breakfast was good. Only complaint was that the season changed the air conditioning to winter although the outside temperature was near 30, and the window could not be opened , so the room was quite warm for sleeping, "

"Great spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious and had toiletries, hair dyer and a bidet. Would not hesitate to return again."

"Great installations, vibe and ambiance of rural Alentejo with chic facilities. Courteous staff. Highly recommend for a two night stay in a calm and tranquil haven. "
