"The breakfast was great. There is a neighborhood cat that comes over at breakfast and it’s very cute. The staffs are very personal. It’s like living at a friend’s home. The sea view was amazing from the room. I could see the beautiful sunrise and sunset over Erhai everyday! The area is very clean and quiet but it is a little far from the tourist spots like ancient towns. "

"The first visual impression of Secret Manor was a very positive one- classic ancient Chinese architecture. We are greeted by friendly staff who took care of our luggages and sat us down. Refreshments were served while the staff worked on the check-in. After which, the staff brought us to our room and explained the details on switches and other amenities. They also provide a “live-concierge” via WeChat where we can seek assistance from the staff. We had a spacious room that was clean with comfortable bed. The selection of food at breakfast was a good spread. The dish that stood out was definitely the noodles station (mi xian soup) which is also a very popular local breakfast fare. Special thanks to Kadi (the hotel manager) for all the tips he provided and his engagements. Overall, a very pleasant stay!"

Cleanliness and condition were at immaculate and very hospitable hosts, the sincerity were evidently displayed throughout the interaction. If you are someone who don't plan for your trip, your itinerary will be very well taken care of as guest. "

"What a great place , staff was super helpfull and help us with a guide for a day (ask for Nancy she is the best). The hotel is clean and the rooms are big and comfortable. As Dali's old town is closed for cars please contact the hotel a day before you arrive so they can help you with the suitcases. "

"My girlfriend and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway. Waking up to that **incredible breakfast**—homemade, fresh, and so thoughtfully prepared—was such a treat every morning. The island itself is **pure magic**: quiet, untouched, and exactly the peaceful escape I needed. And the host? Just **the kindest, most welcoming person**—not only did they make sure I had everything I needed, but their passion for tea turned simple evenings into these lovely, memorable moments.
