My wife and I were looking for a base to stay for 11 days in the Perigord / North Dordogne to allow us to explore the area and found this fantastic "petit chateau" on the outskirts of Thiviers. "Very friendly hosts - we were made to feel very welcome. An easy 20min walk to centre of town. Lovely swimming pool and nice clean air-conditioned modern room in the courtyard at rear. Well located for exploring the wider region by car. We didn’t have breakfast as we don’t eat much in the morning but there is coffee available and an excellent Boulangerie next door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "

"Very beautiful park area, nice to walk in neighbouring forests, and playing golf on the premises. Spacious accomodation. Only drawback is you hear the neigbours very well, but for privacy you can rent a cottage. You have to drive to the village for a restaurant"

"An ok hotel in a great location - but I arrived on a Friday which means there is no restaurant open and you have to ‘check in’ before 1800 - which I think is poor!"
