"We booked this hotel to be close to the train station for an early morning train but we were pleasantly surprised at how modern, eclectic and comfortable it was. The room had a unique layout but it worked and had plenty of space for stuff and was very comfortable. The restaurant was a lifesaver since no restaurants nearby were open for dinner on a Monday night and we didn't want to go into the main part of the city because of a festival that drew traffic and crowds on a sweltering summer day....

After some negotiation, we got the room which we had originally booked and suddenly the staff could not be more helpful.

Breakfast was served on tables on the terrace overlooking the flowers and with birds singing as entertainment. There was plenty of choice and lots of the locally made jams and cheeses to try. "Lovely room in a country setting. Our room was small but cute, very clean and the bed was comfy, all in all it had everything we needed. The restaurant was closed the night we got there so had to eat in town so a car is needed. Couldn’t use the
