"We could not have asked for a more fantastic place to stay. From arrival and check in, support from staff whilst we were there, location, quirky cabin... Proximity to the hills/ station/ pubs/ canal... Absolutely beautiful. The children loved the waterfall and the cabin itself... A log burner and a sofa to sleep on was a great asset for them. Waking up amongst the trees and being able to feed the ducks 10 meters away. We ate in the village and also had a takeaway... Great choice and fabulous...

. Staff were excellent throughout our stay. We stayed in the annex, which was comfortable and very quiet. Ample parking and fabulous grounds.
Perhaps consider adding net curtains to the ground floor bedrooms, as guests park right up to the windows."

"We visited Healds Hall for a family occasion. The food was excellent throughout - both catering for a large number at the function and serving breakfasts next day - having everything prepared from fresh ingredients.
The room we stayed in was obviously refurbished. With the modern amenities of a good bathroom, and the restful atmosphere of the period house, it was a very pleasant experience."

Common areas in hotel were lovely, breakfast was the worst I’ve had for years! Think cheesestrings, awful coffee and packets of breakfast bars/pot of make your own porridge!
