Kotagiri is well-known for its attractions such as Rangaswamy Peak and Pillar and Longwood Shola. The city has something for everyone including sights like Elk Falls and Mountain Railways of India within a small-town setting.
"The housekeeping, restaurant and room services are pathetic. You call them multiple times they will not pick the phone. Their food is overpriced and not upto the mark. They take a lot of time in food preparation and also their free breakfast is same everyday. They will provide very basic south indian breakfast.
The area around the resort is good but the resort is overpriced and the overall services are not good."
"Having travelled around India on business staying at Marriott priced clean, modern hotels for between £50 and £70 a night I decided to lavish myself with a mountain top luxury resort as I was in Ooty after traveling upon the train
At £170 a night I was hoping for something really rather splendid and was poorly disappointed.
My room's AC was broken, the carpets were stained and damaged, I had very limited options for English channels. Communal areas seemed a little unkept and tired. Service was sporadic and unpredictable. The bar area seemed to be run on a budget.... Giant old fridge in plain view of customers half full of beer. All a bit of a 'cafe on the beach' feel.
The restaurant was nice with fantastic views and the service was good. At best though the food was so so .
Had this hotel been £80 I would have given it 4 stars but left feeling ripped off
Not what I was expecting"
"It’s an excellent new hotel and well maintained property. Courteous staff and immaculate house keeping. Food at Buffet breakfast and dinner is quite extensive and tasty.
I wish the property were renting scooters to go to city and sight seeing. Auto or cab is the only mode of transportation. Majority of the residents have their own car.
I also recommend the management to start working on activity for hotel guests with corresponding transportation."
"Very serene and beautiful property. Very modern. Excellent service. One of a kind property nestled in the middle of tea estates. Loved their hot infinite pool room. "
"Overall stay was good! I would give a rating of 4 out of 5.
Quiet environment inside the Resort. Food could have been better compared with the price. Fish fry/Gravy was good. Staff were polite & helping. "
"Disappointed with the facilities inside the room. For the price charged for the room stay per night it was bad facilities. Bed was sagging, sofas were super sagging. Room service was not good.
Not worth a stay for the value of my money.
