"This is a great hotel in an antique Palacio. Our bed room was very impressive with 3 feet stone walls and a private balcony on Plaza Mayor. I recommend this hotel for its charm and authenticity."

"Lovely friendly staff, and nice hotel in good order. Unfortunately the walls to our room were paper thin, the guest next door put the tv or radio on at 2.00 am, so loud it may have well been on in my room! Luckily a bang on the wall had the desired effect. "

"This hotel in the town of Ciudad Rodrigo is a great place to stay. My room was very small, but exceptionally clean, and had a TV, a closet, and a tiny but sparkling clean private bathroom. The hotel is a 5 minute walk downhill from the bus station and my room on the 3rd floor had a view of the fortified city on the hill, only a 10 minute walk away. The front desk clerk was very kind and spoke good English. Their restaurant that seemed to be open all day, even though most other restaurants in...

"We chose this for an overnight stop, with our pet furry friend, on our way from Santander to Portuguese Silver Coast. Pet friendly and self-catering appealed to us. The communication and the welcome to the lovely property, from Sandra, was exceptional. She went out of her way to show us the accommodation and walk us through the pretty village to the local restaurant, telling us a little about the place as we went.

"This is a quiet spa resort in the countryside. I stayed as it is dog friendly and needed an overnight on way through the area. Very nice place. A bit dated. Lots of people on package tours. The restaurant is decent, and the prices are fine. The gardens are lovely. Unfortunately I was unabelt o try the spa facilities but definitely will come again. "

"Property is beautiful although is is showing it's age. It had quite a bit of fruit flies inside the room, mostly in the windows and bathroom.
The stay is to be enjoyed by visiting the nearby neighbour towns and sightseeing. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, I'd recommend going to the closest village, La Alberca. "

"Lo mejor del hotel es, sin duda, el personal contratado que allí trabaja. Son personas atentas, amables y pacientes, y hacen todo lo que está en sus manos para que tu estancia sea satisfactoria."

"I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The room itself was just okay—basic but functional. However, it didn’t feel very clean. There was an awful smell in the room that never went away. There were visible marks on the walls, a stale smell, and the bathroom could definitely use a more thorough scrubbing.
What really put me off, though, was the general atmosphere. Some of the other guests seemed… off. A few were lingering in the hallways at...

"The rooms are kept very clean and the staff are helpful although English is limited. Breakfast is basic and in the cafe downstairs which you pay for separately. Parking is limited but there is on the street parking around. "
"Stayed mainly to break up our journey from the Portuguese coast to the Mediterranean coast, but we were very pleased we stayed in the old town and at this hotel. They were both excellent. Beautifully appointed hotel, spacious bedroom and bathroom with lots of character. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast in a beautiful dining room, unfortunately the restaurant was temporarily closed but we were able to find one within walking distance."

"Fantastic hotel, but the air conditioning had limited control, meaning we had to go to reception at 3am to get it switched back on as the room was very hot.
Restaurant is superb quality, not cheap but worth treating yourself, the tiramasu is an experience. "
