Easy parking. Wasn't keen on the long queue at the bar to be served drinks although everyone queued up very politely, we just weren't used to queuing!

Stay was to attend a family funeral and a journey of 500 miles. Had arranged early check in but had to wait for someone to attend to us Rooms very hot, not much lighting and bathroom light didn't work. Ate twice in restaurant but on both occasions foods chosen not available

Great hotel

The hotel is in a great, the rooms are clean and the bed very comfortable.its good value for money. All the staff a friendly and willing to help, the bar is also good and has a great selection of beers and pub food. The only small issue is that depending when you check in you have go to the bar to find a member of staff.

Good value, great food, a little tired.

Great food and really good breakfast. Room clean and tidy, could do with slight attention and bathroom was a little tired, extractor not working resulting in slight damp issue and the bath was very slow to drain, but overall I would come back as it was very good value.

Good pub

It’s a good pub location. Not too much around, but a Tesco express across the road. Meals in the pub were quite good and at reasonable cost. Parking was easy.

Check in waiting time

It took 30 minutes to be allowed into my room from the time of booking on hotels.com. They said it was because it takes around 20 minutes from the time of booking to them getting the information on their system. Everywhere else that ive stayed at it is around 2 minutes. This place is 35 minutes

The blue bell hotel

Clearly a contractors place ro stay. Been in worse been in better. It’s ok and was close to where I was working. It’s a very large and old building so there’s only so much owners can do without spending a fortune, but fresh paint, new carpets in communal walkways to rooms and new doors on bedrooms (they look quite industrial) would go a long way to the overall feel of the communal bedroom corridors and not break the bank. Would I stay again , yes if working close. Pub meals were normal pub grub, burger was delicious and prices were really good 👌
Christine, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

The Manager was quite friendly at checkin but did not tell us the buffet rules I paid 500 and they started taking food away before everyone had eaten, we were told there was a 2 hr rule but they took full trays of food away that I had paid for, looked like they were taking it for the next party of staff members very disappointing to say the least.
