Had to ask reception to switch heating in room off as heating wasn,t adjustable in room. Otherwise, pleasant stay as usual. Thank you.

Great stay

Certainly not the ritz but the staff couldnt do enough to make our stay comfortable. Beds were comfy, rooms warm. Water pressure a bit low in the shower but it was clean and close enough to city centre. You get what you pay for and to put our heads down at night and get showered it was a perfect room for us.

Need photo id

Dirty run down hotel, wouldn’t let us check in without photo id, had copy of my passport on my phone which I had to email for a printed copy. 2 toilets for 6 rooms

Poor hotel. Find someplace else

Cracked window, no power at sockets, small and uncomfortable. Also it was not close to town.
Duncan, 1-night trip

Value for money

good value for money, with that been said you get what you pay for. My room was literally next to the main road so you can hear the car moving up and down all the time and window sound proof is bad.. Other than that all good

Stayed here for two nights a the room you felt like you are walking on planks as every footstep the floor creaked. The showers wow just don’t jump in the river Tyne it would be warmer bye a long shot. I can say that I won’t be choosing to stay at this hotel in a rush again
Rhys, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Shockingly bad

Stay was totally shocking. Hotel was, damp, cold, mould growing up walls, carpets were dirty, falling apart, soiled kettles, drug dealers, prostitution, pimps hanging around outside. We didn’t stay for breakfast for our own safety and health. We checked out mega early as we felt uncomfortable there. Would never recommend to anyone. Stay well away.

A nice surprise and cheaper than a taxi home

Walkable in about 25 minutes and most welcoming after a late night train from London to Newcastle Central Station Very helpful and accepting receptionist of my disabled and non binary LGBTQI plus status. A taxi to my rented house would have cost much more as I live over 25 miles away
Massive room in basement level 3

Very budget, nice staff, cleaning could be better

Excellent price & staff lovely. Room was dated but fairly comfortable, light was really bright - could do with a lamp or different shade. Shared Bathroom was unclean, No toilet roll all night. Would be better if there was seat cleaner & a stock of cleaning equipment and loo rolls as it’s a shared space. Shower gel a nice touch but smelt like it was for men.

2/10 Poor

No heating out side wind come in the room

No heating at Dec. Even the hotel provide heater it also didnt work, and very windy from outside window terreble hotel ever.

ok

4/10 Fair

needs better cleaner and modernisation

Poor showers / bathrooms, place smelt like mould, Rooms too hot, breakfast was cold and of very poor quality. Various substances all over the walls and curtains. felt like a bit of a biohazard. On the upside, cheap, accessible and friendly staff. reasonably comfortable clean bed, and not too close to a main road so wasn't too load. Would suggest hiring a more competent cleaner, bring the showers and bathrooms up to modern standards, and hire a decent chef, and this place could be decent.

Avoid

I have never stayed in a worse hotel, cockroaches in bathroom! Leaking toilet, dirty carpet, screws fell out of the door handle. I have contacted hotel but still waiting on a response, I'm not expecting one as he clearly couldn't be arsed to communicate on check in!

2/10 Poor

If you value a good nights sleep, do not book here!! We where faced with a smashed window, mould on the walls, plaster falling off the window because of how wet the walls became with damp, the staff are not helpful at all and even when the company you book through complains that you felt unsafe and ask for a refund because you didn’t stay their, they drag it out and in the end block all way of you being able to contact them. The people who run this hotel are a disgrace and only care about their financial gain and not the people booking with them.

2/10 Poor

Wasn’t worth the money paid, service was okay but slow and now very customer based. The room was very small and not very organised and the bedsheet had marks(blood stains) on it and the bathroom absolutely stank and had a separate door taped shut, a bad draft coming from the window although it was shut and the door didn’t do up properly unless locked, the smell of cannabis was horrendous when we walked out of the room and the walls looked liked they had been done by a cowboy decorator.
Danny, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Faulty trenches - Shame on you owner/staff.

The entire establishment was unfinished; yet still managed to exude a worn\shabby aesthetic. Incorrectly installed computer desk, broken light switches, the noise of other peoples plumbing taunting me that mine was haphazard at best. Asking for a towel I was advised to use the paper napkins. (Sadly not present either) Later given a towel. When advising that there was no plug/stopper in the sink I was given a plug (type thing) that did not fit the said sink. Pointing out the lack of power on "computer desk" I was given a four gang extension. (No power on that side of room) Both beds in the room (twin) were incredibly soft and did not provide a good sleeping experience. *This* might be Ms Braverman's solution to providing housing in UK
It appears that someone pushed the light switch too hard. The Crack appears to go fully through the plastic.
The computer desk (who knew MFI still did special ordHad ports for where the power sockets *should* go. That's the white thing at the back of the formica wood.

Seems someone must have made the assembler a better offer...
