Everyone was friendly, easy check in, had some renovations going on but didn’t interfere with stay. Nice open lobby. We just had drinks in the restaurant but they were all super friendly.

The hotel is ok . It is undergoing renovations. The biggest complaint was the temperature of the room. It was 74 degrees even though we set the temperature at 67. The air was very stale with no movement. We slept with just a sheet over us.

I'm always satisfied when staying here.

I have found this to be the best hotel (and chain) in the greater Alton area. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are recently remodeled/updated, and it is a comfortable environment. The restaurant has good food and a great tap list. This is one of few hotels where you still get a complimentary drink ticket when checking in. You can't go wrong staying here.

It was great except the hotel layout making the pool open at the top in the lounge area. Kids were playing in the pool well into 11 and it was very loud from the screaming. Our room was a window away from the lounge. Just a flaw of the layout however was beautiful and the restaurant was good.

They were friendly. I have stayed there before but it’s seems they have let the property go. The first room I was in the lights kept flickering and could not get hot water in the shower. And when I did report it to the gentleman at the front desk I was just met with a stare before he finally asked if I would like to switch rooms. Everyone else I encountered at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The people were great the room not so much.

It was ok. The pictures make it look really clean and nice but its not. The elevator had pieces of wallpaper coming off, chunks missing & some held up with tape. The temp in the room was hard to get right. It was either to hot or muggy. The pool was broken during our entire 4 day stay.

You'll find more cheer at a funeral. Staff seems like they are annoyed that they are working. Checking in took longer because we used travelocity and something behind the counter details didn't add up. "Oh you guys used expedia, thats why....*sigh*" Walls are super thin, practically there for decoration lol. You can hear everything. Footsteps in the main hall sound like someone is walking in your room. Could hear everything the family next door was saying. Breakfast buffet is nice but would have been nice to know we had to show "breakfast passes". 2nd morning the server asked if we had "passes". "Isnt this included in our rooms?" Yea but you needed passes, should have got them when u checked in. Btw this is the same guy the previous morning didnt ask for anything. Ran back up to the room to find the so called passes in our keyholder. Also there is no signage or anything saying guests need to show passes for the buffet. If restaurant/hotel has a thief problem with buffet, maybe have a host seat guests and have servers actually do their jobs.

Disappointed!

We stayed at this property last year and were happy with it but this time, disappointing. We knew that they were doing renovations but when we arrived on the floor we were staying on we were surprised to see room numbers written on blue painter tape and taped to the doors; there were no baseboards although it didn't appear there was new carpet yet. The drapery in our room was hanging down as if one of the clips to hold it in place was broken. When we told the front desk the response was, they're going to be putting new drapes in the room anyway. Stained carpet in our room and stained cover sheet. Photos on hotels.com were not accurate. We expected a sofa in our room but there was none. The lobby pictures showed the same furniture but various colors and it appeared to have new carpet but it was just color enhanced. The breakfast area was nice with a variety of food.
