Hotel was great as usual however, the kitchen could clearly not cope with a full restaurant at breakfast. Spent a lot of time waiting for food to be cooked and replenished. Staff were polite.

Lovely hotel, room was spotless, very comfy and had everything needed. The bar in the evening had a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive and the location was perfect. Can't fault one single thing. I would most definitely recommend this hotel.

Limited parking was full, had to pay extra £10 for public car park. Hotel was uncomfortably warm at night.

6/10 Good

Good location right by the harbour. Very busy in the evening, we just happened to be in the cottage along with a group of rowdy men who came in a 2am. Luckily I wasn’t trying to keep a baby asleep l.

Superb staff

The only hiccup was a minor flood in the bathroom which was promptly remedied by the staff, who could not have been more helpful and attentive throughout our stay

We wont be back.

Service terrible, food well below average, tiny double room. We wont stay again.

Bamburgh castle

The car park is a reasonable size but if full there is a large one nearby which the BC will reimburse the fee .. well done ! The bar menu was unimpressive and a burger cost £16 ! And was tiny. Breakfast was great. Room was clean and a good size.

Really enjoyed the stay, staff were fantastic hard working and long hours. We had lunch and dinner and the food was lovely but we’re a little disappointed with breakfast. Buffet doesn’t really work for us, had to wait on eggs and the rest breakfast was cold by the time we ate it.

Lovely stay in centre of village . Room was comfy and spotless with all expected ammenites , Only snag was our view was a wall and not the gorgeous views offered elsewhere. Breakfast was tasty but heads up its a hot / cold buffet . Car parking on site is practically impossible but main seahouses carpark just over the road at a cost of 10 pound for 24 hours . This we learnt could be refunded at hotel if you give in your ticket but as required parking up after leaving carpark was a hassel so chose not to do this .

Booked our stay at Bamburgh Castle inn after a short notice decision to visit Bamburgh Castle. We booked an economy double room as it stated, on the Expedia link, that it had a combined shower/bath and I fancied a bath to soak in after a busy day out exploring!! unfortunately it is actually either a shower or bath in the rooms and the one we were allocated was shower only, not a good start to our stay and only enhanced when the receptionist replied they were fully booked, after we tried to swap it. The rooms were ok, beds really comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. We had reservations regarding the food having read multiple reviews. We had no such issues, my wife and I both dined in the evening and enjoyed the, “free” breakfast in the morning with no complaints. The parking is a bit hit or miss and I would recommend, when booking, that you call the hotel as their website advises you to use the local carpark rather than the hotels however, there are 3 local car parks and 2 are locked in the evening. Minor issues really and did not detract from a lovely overnight stay at Seahouses. Would I go again? Definitely, armed with the knowledge I now have.

8/10 Very good

We booked a two-night stay in one of the superior rooms with a balcony overlooking the beer garden and harbour. We found the room was quite clean and the views were very nice. I'm thankful to the staff for remembering my request for a fan for the room, as the weekend was quite warm! We ate breakfast both mornings and had dinner twice at the pub downstairs, and the meals were good, apart from the potato skins special, which was well over done and not very nice. A little more attention to the cleanliness would not go amiss in the pub area. I know it was busy, but the tables weren't as clean as they could be, and the menus themselves were sticky with spills for both evening meals. The staff were friendly, but I think they were spread a bit thin for such a busy weekend. Parking is extremely tight in their small car park, but a nearby public car park was reasonably priced at £6 for 24 hours. I was fortunate enough to get a parking space at the hotel for our second night. We walked out to the gunpowder house at the opposite end of the harbour to watch a stunning sunset over Bamburgh Castle, just a few miles to the northeast.

Nice location but not happy with our stay

Thank God for the big open doors, beautiful view, but it let in air!! Mid September and our room was always too warm!! Had to sleep with the doors open (praying no creature wonders in) and the fan they provided. It was still not cool enough at night. The half glass shower door is utterly ridiculous!!! No matter how careful, the floor would be soaked. And it was printed that they know the step up and in tub is slippery, and if you need a safety mat, to request one. Seriously?! if it's a known danger, provide the mat anyways! We booked 2 rooms. Both ours and our friends had the same view, cost the same, however our room was tiny and bare minimum. Our friends was larger, better appointed and stylish. We paid the same, but our room was crap compared to theirs. Breakfast buffet was generous and good food. Tried the Pub food for dinner and wasn't impressed. Tried a restaurant in town the next night.

Not worth the fee

2 nights not much sleep due to very loud kitchen extractor fan in a room opposite rooms 10 & 12 See attached video

We booked this very last minute and got the last room! It was advertised as small and delivered. Beggars cant be choosers but it was clean and comfortable. The car park is small so unless you're there early its one of the many privately owned car parks in the town and harbour. Beware of the time limits and restrictions. Hotel has a lovely outside seating area in the late afternoon sunshine. Didn't have diner at the hotel but breakfast was buffet style with an excellent choice for all the fussy eaters. We would stay here again.
Nigel, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

We had a room with a balcony overlooking the coast, and the view was lovely. Wi-fi was not available during our stay. The bathroom window wouldn`t open and we couldn`t get the shower gel and soap dispensers to work. The bed was very comfortable. Car parking spaces are limited- we managed to get the last one. Some of the seats were missing as they had gone to be repaired.
Edwin, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Car parking was atrocious. I am disabled and it was difficult to park the car. Hotel car park too small and nearby car park should be used via an arrangement with the local council. We should have been told that blue badge parking was always free in that car park.
