The perfect base.

First time in Malmo/Sweden and the hotel was a perfect base for my trip. Very central, a short walk from the Train station and with loads of bus options too. The hotel itself has loads of character, very friendly staff and plenty of breakfast options. During my visit the exterior restoration/renovation was still in progress, but when completed it will be ready for another 150 years of service. Along with Lila Torg there are a number of other places and the main shopping area on your doorstep.

Friendly welcoming staff, great breakfast and lovely clean rooms. Location is brilliant too and not far from the central train station, for easy access to Copenhagen Airport or further into Denmark. You have to request for your room to be cleaned, I think this is a brilliant idea and I wish every hotel operated this way. It’s better for the environment, easier for the housekeepers and gave me a feeling of privacy whilst staying at the hotel. You don’t typically change bedsheets in your home everyday , so why should hotel rooms be any different? I was a solo traveller and I managed perfectly fine with no housekeeping required for my 3 night stay. The breakfast contained many fresh and wholesome items; the porridge was outstanding. Just one tiny point, there were no decaf coffee sachets in my room. This would’ve been useful :) I will definitely stay at this great hotel next time I’m in Malmö and highly recommend to others. 10 out of 10!

Hotellet byggs om vilket gjorde att hantverkarna på utsidan väckte mid vid 7-hugget. Rummet är på ett och renoverat för många år sedan. Sängkläderna har en billig känsla av syntet.

Med rum ut mot gatan behöver du inte ställa ett alarm. Istället kan du vakna runt 6 - 7 på morgonen ljuvliga ljud som "sopbil tömmer glasåtervinningen" eller "leverans på rullbur". Skönt, så slipper du försova dig.

Not happy with the "upgrade"

I have been staying at this hotel a numerous times. It is a pretty decent hotel that is very close to "Lilla Torget" where you have several good resturants and bars. I had booked a double room ... But when I checked in I was told I was "upgraded" to a Family room. This was definatly not an upgrade. The Family room is very old and have not been refurbished for many years. So compared to the regular double rooms it was a lower quality and definatly not an upgrade. I checked with the reception... But they was fully booked and didnt know why I was "upgraded" to the family room. I will try to find another hotel in Malmø next time.

Har bott här flera gånger, väldigt fin service, sköna sängar och centralt läge. Rummen skulle dock behöva en uppfräschning, renovering och lite nya möbler, etc.

Vi havde købt to enkeltværelser og alt virkede bare billigt og lidt slidt på værelserne. Der var underligt nok strygejern, ingen mulighed for kaffe. Bruserne var ikke blevet afkalket meget længe og man kunne mærke skumgummien i de små puder, man skulle sove med. Vinduerne ud til gaden var meget svære at lukke ordentligt, så der var en del støj fra gaden i form af skraldebiler og mennesker. Morgenbuffet var rigtig fin.

Super centralt beliggende hotel. Men det er slidt, værelser små og hele hotellet var pakket ind i stillads. Rengøring på værelse var ikke super. Fin morgenmad med et godt udvalg.
