8/10 Very good

The room was clean, morning staff excellent, food excellent. Many rooms being refurbished. Evening manager could have been more helpful, they were closing when we arrived.

8/10 Very good

2 night stay visiting family. Have not stayed here for a while. Suite was lovely. Sloping roof and uneven floor took some getting used too but lovely that the essence of the old building has been kept.

Clean tidy hotel close to town centre

Familiar hotel with clean comfortable beds. Good value for a Sunday night

6/10 Good

Very central to the town, brekkie was lovely. The rooms are very tired and in need of an upgrade especially the bathrooms. We had a room right on the main road so didn't sleep great

Basic accommodation that fitted the bill

Basic room facilities that fitted the bill for an overnight stay. Breakfast, cooked only, very tasty and staff very friendly and efficient

4/10 Fair

Basin did not drain properly No hairdryer in room, did ask but nothing happened!! Had to wait 20mins for a table at breakfast, she did serve me in the end in the bar yesterday. Today I sat with someone on their table. No one on the reception did ring the bell, but nobody came. I do not recommend this hotel even if the staff were very polite

8/10 Very good

We enjoyed our stay though late night crowds walking past can be very loud. This is not anything against the actual hotel just was awoken quit a few times both nights we stayed.

Basic Rooms, Nice Bar

Staff were friendly & the bar was very good. Rooms were at best basic. The temperature on the shower was uncontrollable.

Motorbike trip

Nice affordable room for a quick overnight stop on a road trip. Didnt feel that welcome on arrival if i am honest. I accidently walked into the restaurant which was empty in all my bike gear as the external door was open. I was abruptly told i shouldnt walk through there and should go around the carpark. Maybe dont leave the door open then or put a sign up. Spent quite a lot of money on beer in the hotel bar. The woman serving in the bar was great and really friendly. Managed to park my bike and chain it to a railing. Lots of vans in the carpark which helped keep it from view. I would stay again but wont walk through the restaurant to save getting moaned at.

Room 5, a little small & the bed wasn't the most comfortable I've slept in. Staff are brilliant - helpful & friendly. Menu isnt very big so as a mildly fussy eater there was only 1 option for my meal ( my fault for being fussy ) however the menu changes fairly regularly. All in all it wasnt too bad & I would stay there again
Stuart, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Honestly I’m not sure where to start! It was quite simply the most uncomfortable stay in any hotel that we have ever experienced. Nothing about the hotel warrants any positive feedback
Lee, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Debra, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The property carpets are very stained and could do with cleaning. The carpet at the strip between our bedroom and bathroom was frayed and large pieces were sticking up. The toilet bowl was very stained around the edges.
Melanie, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The pillows were cheap. The vertical blind was broken and served no purpose. The toilet brush was absolutely filthy. Overall the room needs freshening up and a bit of tlc
Paula, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Never again

Dirty towels left in the bathroom when I arrived, heating didn’t work because they only turn it on during winter even though it was cold and raining outside. kettle didn’t work, bed was uncomfortable. I booked two nights stay but left after the first night. i work in St Neots which is two stops away but I’d rather head back to London stay in my own bed and risk the long journey in the morning then stay here that is nearer to my place of work.
2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Dirty walls, rattling doors, uncomfortable

No parking was available on site, had to pay to park in nearby carpark, hotel offered no compensation for this. The room was very dated with dirty marks on the walls, the mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable, could feel the springs and it was so noisy when you moved. Tv remote didnt work the tv, the shower was next to useless water trickled out and if you turned the head upside down the water didnt even spray out. The door to the room rattled and banged wherever some one els opened the door to there room which was annoying. Luckily i only stayed for one night and had to leave early for work definitely wont be recommending.

2/10 Poor

Very very Disappointing

We had a family room booked and was not warned that it would mean climbing four flights of stairs to get to the second floor. We had an 86yr old with us and weren't even offered help with bags. The person who checked us in couldn't give a damn. When we got to the room it was disgusting. The carpets were frayed, the walls had marks, there were only two tea cups and they were dirty. There was no soap in the toilet and the whole hotel was boiling hot. There was bugs everywhere and all the windows were dirty. We were in the attic space and the bathroom had no windows and no working extractor fan. We only stayed one night so as soon as we woke up, we left.

2/10 Poor

Worst say in any hotel

This hotel is well below its rating room very modern if you get a new room! But if you get a Newley refurbished room your in for a treat showers done work and rooms are hotter that the sun, shower head has about 3drips and you can’t ever get even warm I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again if they said it was free!!!!!!! Simply terrible

nice hotel, great value for money.
ian, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Character hotel, needs a bit of tlc

Mix up on a couple of rooms but we sorted that ourselves. Wife and I were in the "suite" which is obviously on the top floor. Bed was comfortable, bathroom and toilet were separate and not really suitable for tall people due to the roof sloping. We were only in for one night so no real issues but upstairs could do with some tlc
Anthony, 1-night trip

Was asked to check in before 8pm and told no one would be there after that time
