Our stay was okay overall – the apartment covered the basics and was fine for a simple, no-frills visit. However, there were a few cleanliness issues that let it down. We noticed some marks on the towels and pillowcases, and there may have been fleas or something similar in the beds as we left with some itchy bites If you're just after somewhere to sleep and aren’t too fussed about the details, it does the job – but don’t expect anything beyond the essentials.

The rooms are a bit outdated but large enough for two adults and two children. Well located, five minutes walk to Queenstown Garden and city centre. Free parking at a first in first served type of way but they have lots of parking spots available. Staff was very friendly and helpful The only downside was the noise of some very inconsiderate guests (not the hotel’s fault but I’m pointing it out as the walls are thin and if your room is next to some noise guests, expect no sleeping for your entire stay) Other than that, the hotel is quite nice

Great sized hotel room. Stunning views from balcony. Handy location to town. Car park is a bit of a squeeze for larger cars and there is no direct lift from carpark to rooms on other side of lobby - have to navigate lobby stairs with suitcases. Hillary's was only open for breakfast and tables in bar are not suitable height if you have a plated evening meal. We would have dined in at night if dinner was served in Hillary's
