Clean room in a good location
Afson, 1-night trip

Great warm reception, room was good size but so much mould on the roof of the bathroom.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked Safe Stay, but I am glad I did. Staff was friendly and the location was great for us. There are lots of shops (not just the high priced ones) and dining options around. It was fun walking down pedestrian street area. I would stay at Safe Stay in Glasgow again.

Nice hostel but noisy guests

Stayed before and the location off Sauciehall street in Glasgow is great Only downside is guests using mobile phones in dorms who shout when you try to sleep

Excellent customer service
Samuel, 5-night trip

6/10 Good

Probably won’t stay again, sorry!

More pillows would have been good, hand towel in bathroom would have been welcome, couldn’t get normal channels on tv, carpets ripped and worn, walls were dirty, bathroom very tired and water damaged. Wasn’t worth what we paid for one night, have stayed in much better for much cheaper in the same area with cooked breakfast. Bed was comfy and staff were very nice.

Construction work outside of the hotel building student flats, Internet is intermittent and television in the room being Internet based doesn’t work

Lift would have been nice, musty basement room, staff was EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD!
Dany, 1-night trip

The hotel seemed to need some repair carpet was missing in our room, but overall vibe of the environment and area was not bad
Elizabeth, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Worst place ive ever stayed

Firstly its advertised as a hotel, its not its a hostel. The rooms were filthy, covered in feaces, the windows didnt lock, there mould all over the bathroom, there was vomit stains on the floors, there was a huge hole in the roof, i could go on but im sure you get the drift. We ended up leaving after 2 hours as we were worried for the safety of our children, would not recommend this place to anyone, needs to be closed down.

International travellers and people on work trips to Glasgow. Completely Safe to stay. Central Glasgow. Walking distance to Museum and Parks and 10 minutes down St Vincent to Rail and bus station s

Cheap place. Get what you pay for. Easy process.
Emitt, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The room did not match the photos—everything was quite dated, and the bathroom was noticeably unclean. I even hesitated to take a shower due to the poor condition.
Wayne, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

(First the check in time was 3pm, so i had to wait 6 hours before I was able to get into my room.) This property is good for 2-4 nights. When i arrived they had staff cleaning and in fairness the cleaner was doing good job. The place is not far from Queen Station but it's surrounded by roads that go up and down hills lol. You also have to pay £6 for a towel to dry yourself if towels are needed, but the bed was cosy enough to sleep in. Each bed has curtain which you can pull to provide more privacy. In general not a bad place but it be far between if check in time was before 3pm. Supermarkets close by and you can return to your room anytime through the night if you out at night. 😊
This is a 4 bed dormitory. There's lockers to use but you need your own padlock or you can buy one at reception.
Brian, 2-night trip

The Hotel wasn't clean. The first night an someone came into our room, although every room had a separate digital key. Staff couldn't explain how this was possible and didn't do anything to be sure it couldn't happen again. Beside the hotel there were two building sites with very loud building activities from 7am until 6pm. All in all, not an ideal accomodation.
Isabella, 3-night trip

Not bad
adam, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

It was what it was.

It was what it was. The room had comfortable double bunk beds for all 6 of us and there was an en suite bath. The place itself was a little shabby, looked like there was some damage in the hallway and the rug in our room was threadbare in places. It had a moist vibe. The common areas were meh. But it was our first night in Scotland and we pretty much just slept there, didn't get breakfast. Had a good recommendation for dinner from front desk: The Butterfly and the Pig.
Elizabeth, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Key card issues the whole time, staff could not figure it out, went through 4 people and 6 cards. I paid for access to a room I didn’t get. No common area. It has the most basic essentials, literal bare bones. Not a great starter hostel for solo travelers.
Roxana, 3-night trip

Cancelled booking but not told

Went to check-in & was told our booking was cancelled so had to find another hotel
Justin, 1-night trip

Where do I begin… As soon as we entered, the front of house staff were welcoming, kind and made us feel right at home. Every morning we were greeted with kind faces and smiles, adding to the safe (stay) experience. Although we were neighbouring some unexpected machinery, we grew to love our atmosphere, it’s hard to complain when you get such luxury for only £20 a pop. Highly recommend, and oh boy did I love that coffee machine. All our love, Molly, Ti & Rosa. <3

I stayed at this property for one night and had to leave, I didn't get a refund or any money off for the other 3 nights I had left, the bathroom had mould covering the seal but they have stated it didn't, it's overall unhygienic.
Steph, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

No fridge to put food in, and you must pay to store your luggage
Violette, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

I stayed 7 nights during which I asked the staff three times to change my bed sheets for they were dirty and the staff did not. First they said, policy is every 5 days, but even then they didn’t.
