Nice room

They are remodeling. It’s an older building but our room was great like having your own apartment dishwasher oven stove full refrigerator

8/10 Very good

The room was very nice. It was well designed, well furnished and well stocked. The bed was comfortable and nice linens. The public areas such as stairwells and hallways were dirty and needed daily cleaning.

Room had this old musky feel, manager was very nice but the room condition and very poor quality bed I definitely won’t stay here again

10/10 Exceptional

Before booking this trip, I noticed a lot of reviews that mentioned lack of cleanliness, or coming off as old-fashioned. I don’t think either are true. Only issue was construction cutting off the shortest route to the building, but I had a great time. Thanks guys! :)

Get what you pay for

Very run down no place to park the hall door was propped open to outside made me feel unsafe , the room had a terrible animal smell , lots of construction workers and guys hanging around outside ! It had a kitchen but no paper towels plastic utensils or cups the front desk staff was very very nice tho

I can’t say anything positive about this property. It was dirty and smelled so incredibly bad! There were bugs and mold everywhere! It is also clear that there are full time residents living here. Overall not a good experience and will not ever be returning!
Mold in the cabinets
Dirty walls
Stove dirty
Burn marks on the counter

8/10 Very good

Huge room, jetted tub, excellent TV and internet. Full kitchen facility was great. Mattress was old, a bit lumpy, but OK. Hallways smelled a bit funky, but room was fine. I would stay here again.

Confusing directions

I never got to check into my room because when I arrived there at what I thought was before the office closing time there was a sign on the door saying that the office had already closed for the night. It gave confusing directions about going down the parking lot to talk to the attendant if I a key or for registration. The parking lot was huge with many buildings and the nearby one I tried seem to have no relation to the hotel and be some kind of residential place. I never got to check in so I don't know how the rooms really were.

The only thing was the trash under the sink had not been changed out and had old banana peels in it.

Not what was described online

The room was not what I paid for. I keft and did not even stay overnight. I booked another room at the Doubletree fir less money than at Smart suites. The place was disgusting and i felt it was a homeless shelter. The room did not apoear anything as described in the photos online. I even got an upgraded room, which was horrible, broken chairs outside the window, holes in cabinet doors, filty. This is what i noticed in only 2 minutes of being in the room. I left and would never return.

ROACHES! We are still staying here currently, we saw a roach here or there asked them if they've ever had issues they said no, I woke up in the middle of the night and there were 6 in the kitchen!! Careful when booking

The room had bugs. A lot of bugs. The halls had a smell of mold and the carpet was buckled like there was a flood. Hard to roll luggage on it.

The place was in the middle of a renovation, the room smelt like cat piss, the whole place looked like it was falling apart. We didn’t end up actually staying the night as it was too gross

The hotel is under construction. Hallways, stairways, and common areas are all very dirty. Had to be moved to a second room after the first room did not look like it had been cleaned. Construction crew started working on windows outside my room early in the morning.

When you are two weeks away from closing a hotel for a complete remodel you should notify prior to arrival. WORST place EVER.

Rooms extremely run down. Don't even think they cleaned them. Sheets had stains on them so bad that i didn't even use them. They advertised an Ice machine that they don't use anymore. Also there was a very bad odor coming from the hallway. I would not stay there again.
Erika, 2-night trip

There was no warning that the property was under construction. Construction debris everywhere. Hallways and elevator were filthy- carpet coming up. Room was decent, but very dated. Kitchen only had decaf coffee and mugs were chipped. Sofa was stained.

It has potential!

This has the potential to be a great stay… but! 1) it was hard to find with a “Smart Suites” up the road and no sign of any kind to indicate “Smart Suites on the Hill”. 2) It was obvious they were under construction, but of course that wasn’t included on the non-refundable listing. 3) I was on a lower floor with a sliding glass door (not yet renovated) and for some reason the door wouldn’t/couldn’t close all the way? There was a small gap between the door and the door frame- it let in a cold draft and every single outside noise. Including the construction that started bright and early! Thankfully there was a piece of wood blocking the door from opening!! 4) They have laundry rooms which are coin operated, but no way quarter machine, and no way to get cash - you have to have dollar bills and then the front desk will give you quarters. Not cosmic, but inconvenient for sure. Otherwise, the room was comfy and clean enough even though the furniture had clearly seen better days. It definitely has great potential after the renovations are done!

These are efficiency apartment type rooms. There is a couch, table, and kitchenette. The kitchen was adequate for a short stay (utensils, glasses, plates, etc.). It had a coffee maker but no coffee was provided. We had to go down to the lobby to get a cup of coffee. This property is outdated and while we were there they were working on updating the outside. Hopefully they are going to be updating the inside as well.

Well needed renovation underway!

The property was under well needed renovation, hoping improvement will be made. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was no sign for the property, had to go in to find at the correct place. There was a bad smell throughout, a mix of dampness and what may have been urine. The thermostat was not able to be adjusted so turned it off and back on when needed. The drop ceiling supports were very rusted in the bathroom, no fan to remove humidity. The bed was very uncomfortable, edges very soft and bed frame very creaky. Basic cable on tv, no options for smart apps, should have brought Roku stick. The room was a very good size and certainly has potential.

Our room was very dated and wall paper pealing from wall. It was very over priced for the condition of the property.
