We had never stayed in a hotel where you used your phone for main door access and room , once we hit our head round it , it was fine. I really liked the concept of the social space , buying your own food in the communal space , a great coffee machine for free use . Reception person was very helpful.

I didn’t do online check in right and it screwed rest of stay. No orientation on arrival everything was supposed to be online. Didn’t find room lamp for 2 days. Didn’t know you could use refrigerator. Had to keep hand on hair dryer or it fell out of socket. No sheet or linen change on my short stay so I was suriwhen I was woken during nap asking if I wanted room clean.

Funky hotel, but very nice with large common areas. Totally contact-less (keys are on a phone app), about 10 minute walk from train station. Most tourist sites are close. Our room was a little odd (upper floor with sloped ceilinds, bed in middle of room). The bed was comfortable, and it's one of the few places we found with air-conditioning (slow, but it eventually made the foom nice on a hot day. But there is a kitchen area and refrigerator available for guests, as well as a free washer and dryer! The breakfast was very good with a nice variety.

The online check in and keys worked perfectly. Anika offered some of her mulled wine and was perfect for a chilly evening. The room is compact but has everything and we were very comfortable. Perfect place to stay!

Really enjoyable! The rooms are comfy, and the roof top is really enjoyable if you were lucky like us wiht the weather! We couldn't figure out how to make the glass not clear for the shower :) However there were not many plug sockets in the room, so I recommend to bring a socket of your own with multiple USB slots to charge more than one phone over night.

The perfect hotel on a budget! This place has hostel vibes in the best possible way. The rooms are small but incredibly clean, modern, and pretty. The bedding was fluffy and so comfortable, and the shower was hands down my favorite of our entire Europe trip. While there isn’t a fridge in the room, there’s a great common area with a kitchen and coffee/tea machines where you can prepare food. There are also lots of cozy sitting areas that make it easy to enjoy takeout or grocery store meals. The location is fantastic—just an easy 8–10 minute walk from the train station, right in the beautiful old city of Bern. We were able to walk to all the major old city sights within 3–4 hours. On top of that, the shopping options in this area are endless—the best we experienced anywhere in Switzerland. There are also countless restaurants nearby and an immense selection of grocery stores, making it incredibly convenient for any type of traveler. Our particular room was one of the few that looked directly out onto a cement wall. We mentioned this to the host, who kindly invited us to meet in the common area (likely to try to switch our room), but since we were only there briefly and had already gone out exploring, we didn’t follow up. Even so, we really appreciated that the host was open to feedback. And in the end, that room did have the upside of extra privacy and quiet compared to others.
