Perfect stay with a mate to explore the area

Stayed with a mate in a twin room so we could celebrate our 40ths exploring the area. Excellent stay all round. Comfy and clean room, tasty breakfast, good bar, and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more - thanks!

The hotel was lovely! It was so well done with stunning rooms, bar and restaurant. All staff were super helpful and friendly. Particularly the lady who served us as breakfast, she was so kind and great to chat to. Great location with beautiful views and easy access to walks in the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent hotel and great value for the price. The single room was a bit small, but overall nice and tidy. The hotel itself was very nice, including the restaurant/bar. Great location, and I would stay again!

6/10 Good

Positives - Really friendly check in/bar staff. We were lucky and managed to get a space in the hotel car park, and nice that it was free. Nicely designed communal spaces, and clean throughout. Negatives - We booked a deluxe double, but when we got to the room we found it was very basic, set up as a twin and right on the junction of the busy roads. I did go back to reception to question the room and if it was a deluxe and was told that it was (Room 4). I was told it could be set up as a double if needed but it was already late, and it would have been 2 beds pushed together and not a double bed as in the photos. Very deceiving as the photos shown on hotels.com as standard twin was our exact room, so either we were giving the wrong room type or the photos are incorrect. The single beds were small and not the most comfortable to be honest and dipped in the middle. Overall it was fine for 1 night but not being given the correct room was highly disappointing and ultimately meant we didn’t want to spend money on dinner or breakfast at the hotel.

Great Stay

Room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, the staff where really friendly. Also the Bar food was very tasty. one small improvement would be blackout blinds as we stayed at the front and the curtains just about closed and The Exterior lights kept our room quiet light even at 3am.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location within the village. Staff very friendly, hotel very clean. Hotel bars, communal areas very nice and updated, only thing to expect is bedroom and bathroom slightly dated, but a minor issue overall and all very clean with a comfy bed! Thank you, wonderful stay
Courtney, 2-night trip

Central location and pleasant property. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Limited parking but options nearby.
Matthew, 1-night trip

1 night break

Stayed for one night (Saturday), convenient to have restaurant and bar on site due to the town being small and there being limited options for food and drink. Welcoming staff.

6/10 Good

Kind staff in warn down hotel.

Nothing fancy. A bit warn down and quality of food also medium. The place is a bit under staffed, but they are super friendly, helpfull and service minded.

Disappointed stay

We picked this hotel due to its EV charging on site, on day 1 there where non electric cars parked there and when i asked the staff if they could with reaching out to owners to swap, i was told no. On day 2, again a non electric car was parked in 1 spot and the ev charger did not work in the other. Again with no help from the staff, but redirected down the road. The bathroom bin was full of rubbish and the bed sheet was stained. Food was nice and chef was friendly.

Excellent hotel/staff/location in Betts-y-Coed

A beautiful, spacious hotel, with large bedrooms and pleasant views front and back. Situated in the centre of Betws-Y-Coed and within a short 5 minute walk to the train station. Dog friendly with water and treats and dedicated bedrooms for dog families. We found that all the staff here were so friendly and helpful, going the extra mile with any request we had. In particular, James, who gave us a free lift to and from Zip World Fforest as pure car was blocked in by a cherry picker in the small car park! They do a really tasty jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise and side salad. It was hot, quality food and a large portion too! And reasonably priced for hotel food. Good selection of draft drinks. If I could change a couple of things, I would ask for help next time in taking luggage to the 3rd floor as there is no lift. I also think the wine is a bit cheap tasting. Other than these minor gripes, It’s a fabulous hotel. The staff are excellent. Faultless!
Very Large Triple room on 3rd floor has corridor to the bathroom!

8/10 Very good

Had a parking lot which was great. Small single room but comfortable. Big enough bathroom with shower. Lots of electrical outlets. No safe or fridge. Dinner was okay. I wouldn’t eat here again but the hotel was clean and staff friendly.

Impossible to Sleep

The hotel is very nice, and in a great location but on night 1, at 23:30 when we were trying to sleep, a huge amount of noise from the downstairs bar happened until 01:30am. It was so loud. We could not sleep and we had a 50 mile ultra marathon to run the next day. So we managed to get some hours after the racket stopped. Dont know if it was guests or public or staff making the noise but it was very very loud. After the ultra, we were trying to sleep on day 2 and at 00:30am the very same happened again. I dont know what they do at this hotel but its very weird and odd how they expect people to sleep when this very loud lot of shouting, rowdyness, loutish behaviour is happening in the early hours. Wont stay here again purely for the fact that youll never ever get a good nights sleep
