We used to stay at this hotel several years back. They had good service, full kitchen, and it was well maintained. We had opted for newer properties in recent years but chose them this time because we wanted the full kitchen.
We were very disappointed. Their silverware consisted of 3 spoons and 3 butter knives. No corkscrew for the wine, so I went downstairs to ask for one. The front desk clerk looked confused. He went in the back for a couple of minutes then returned and said 'we don't have those'. The hand lotion dispenser in the bathroom had soap in it. There was paper stuck to the desk. The security latch on the front door didn't work, which we didn't discover until we returned to our room late at night. Check out was at 12 per our confirmation, and when at 12 we still weren't quite ready, I called front desk and asked for extra time. The clerk said they could do it for an extra charge. I said, "you can't even give us 30 minutes?" He said, "you're already an hour past checkout." When I told him my confirmation said 12, he replied, "It used to be 12 and now it's 11."
Before putting them on blast I sent an email to the manager. No reply.
A week later I sent an email to their headquarters. No reply.
Now I know why my experience was so terrible. It starts at the top.
There is a Hilton Garden Inn across the parking lot, AC, Embassy Suites, Sonesta and others are really close by and are much better options.
