8/10 Very good

Large ‘business’ hotel close to the centre of Durham. Public areas catered for large numbers of people but were fairly soulless. Room was spacious and comfortable.
Roderick, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Room was a little dated but more than adequate and loads of room (family room). Gym was decent and nobody in it (Friday Morning 9.30 ISH)
David, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Clean room on arrival but room not cleaned on our first day so had to request coffee and milk plus clean towels as we had left ours ready for collection.Staff very pleasant and helpful.Nice spacious room.Breakfast very good, quality of food good and good variety.
David, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

The staff were amazing. The fact that hotels.com had cancelled one of the rooms and not told me was very poor
David, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Efficient staff although we did have to queue for quite a long time to check in. Didn't use the gym, good breakfast and well located for the city.
Simon, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Room very clean but very dated regarding furnishings. Dissappointed that with a bookin for 2 guests there was only 1 bath towel in the bathroom ( we later found towels inside the wardrobe???) All staff very very friendly :). Jamie who checked us in was very welcoming & friendly - he really made a difference, he’s a credit to your hotel
Sarah, 1-night trip

Great hotel in Durham

Visiting our son. Good location. Lovely room and friendly staff.
Mark, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

A nice quiet place to rest on our journey up north. The staff was helpful, the beds were comfy, and the room was unexpectedly large for England. Breakfast was delicious. Only bad part was that there were not enough usb charging ports by the bed, but it’s not a big deal. Probably our best stay on our England trip.
Amanda, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Great location, Durham gorgeous. Hotel good but needs some refurb. Lift pit of service throughout stay
Andrew, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Comfy hotel

Goid comfy bed in a nice room we were upgraded without extra cost. Wifi a bit patchy when the hotel was busy. No problem at all parking although of course there is the extra cost. Good location for central Durham
Lynda, 2-night trip

Robert, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Excellent location - so easy to get into the centre of Durham. Hotel room was a bit dated but lots of space and a super king sized bed.
Mandy, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

So close to the town.
Susan, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

OK'ish stay

The mattress was worn and has seen better days probably a few years ago already. The airconditioning vents were exceptionally dusty - a hayfever challenge as they are blowing at the entry door and above the bed itself. The breakfast was overpriced for the quality provided. Not real value for money when compared to equivalent hotels in Newcastle or York
Cornelius, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely hotel in a great location.
