Overall a good stay! It was a capable walk with my luggage off of the train from the airport. Wonderful area with many restaurants, shops, market, cafe etc. All of the staff at the front desk were wonderful. I went at all different hours and everyone helped and answered my questions graciously. I stayed in Townhouse 816 and it was clean and comfortable. My only misunderstanding was not knowing there was different properties. So I had to carry my bags again across the street. Luckily I was only on the 1st floor so I didn’t have to carry my bags far but there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow so I felt bad for whomever was on the top floor. I also didn’t know the bathroom and shower were on separate floors. Not bad just different but you get used to it. Overall a good stay and would stay again.

If you are a rock climber and don’t mind claustrophobic spaces the place isn’t bad. If you are carrying suitcases you are going to have a hard time. Stairway is very steep. Staff were pleasant but the city of Amsterdam is filthy. I have bragged to friends about how clean Europe is compared to the US. Amsterdam is filthy.

Customer service at reception was great. Staff were helpful. Unfortunately the single room was in another building on the other side of the road, not in the main hotel, and it was very cramped. I also got bitten by a mosquito in 6 different areas including my face, which caused it to swell up 24 hours later. Aside from the location in the city centre, which itself is great, there is nothing much positive to say about this hotel. It's more like a hostel and i would rate it a 2* at best.

Decent for price, had to stay in there sister hotel across the canal called the townhouse though for some reason, but price was good, shared toilet was clean constantly. About 20 minute walk to red light area, but it was just somewhere to sleep would stay again.

Literally steps from a tram station that goes directly to and from the Centraal station which was super convenient. It was right on a quiet canal and a short walking distance to everything, and the beds were pretty comfy. That being said, the carpet in our room was covered in huge stains and looked absolutely disgusting, and the bathroom (although it looked like it was recently renovated) gave off a weird musty smell whenever the shower was used. The hotel doesn't really look anything like the advertised pictures.

Be carful when booking the lady at the office charged me an extra 50€ for the city tax, than what was originally stated through Expedia. Also there are a bunch of Mosquitoes so I do not recommend opening the window. The location is located in the center with rings however I would not suggest booking here pay the and extra €100 for a nicer stay or they’ll just rip you off anyways

Worst hotel ever. Was given a room in the townhouse (different building from main). No aeration, beware clautrophobes. RADIATOR IS COLD TO THE TOUCH ON MAX POSITION AFTER HOURS, DEADLY IN THE FREEZING NIGHTS OF AMSTERDAM. Ditched the room for another hotel.

I booked 3 months early in order to secure a good room. Upon arrival, we were three people placed in a basement room with a very tiny window and smelled of dampness. We complained of this and they changed us rooms to a different building across the street which was much better. It was bright. Had two big windows facing the street and and I will say that it was very clean. That move took a lot of negotiating. One thing you should be ready for is the steepness of the stairs and people quite loud in the streets overnight as there are bars right under the room on the corner. Frankly, for the money I paid for a 4-day stay I don't think this hotel is worth it. Everything else in Amsterdam was fantastic.

The front desk staff was really nice, friendly, and helpful. Thank you, you were amazing. The room was kept very clean, the house cleaners came everyday. Clean sheets and towels. The building is kind of old so it has a smell but that is understandable. Carpets are very stained and old but that really didn’t bother us, but just for you to know what to expect. The internet was slow and on our last evening there was no internet at all. The location was excellent, the tram was only steps away, the bars on the corner have good food. But Fridays it gets very busy and very loud until close to 4:00a.m. This hotel property said that it is smoke free, but the tourists in the other rooms were smoking a lot of weed that you could smell it inside your room and hallways. We were very unhappy with that. But overall everything was good.
