Hallways had a bad odor of cigarettes, sticky room floors, bed and sheets where not addressed when we came back to our room, bed was hard and flat like sleeping on the floor. Only good thing was the breakfast.

You get what you pay for. Honestly, pay more!

It’s what you would expect for a cheap rate. One of the bottom Best westerns we have stayed in. Smelt like smoke everywhere and the cleaning staff were extremely loud in the mornings, yelling and listening to music up and down the hallways.

Terrible

Check in took 40+ mins because they had trouble finding a “clean” open room, even though the hotel was not at capacity and we had already paid. Another guest was given a key to our room and tried to get in while we were sleeping. Fire alarm went off for 30 mins at 1am for no apparent reason. Our “non smoking” room had cigarette butts sitting next to the window, all the surfaces were dirty and sticky, and there were small curly hairs all over the bathroom and bathroom towels. Stains on the sheets, walls, curtains and floors. Baseboards were filthy and peeling away from the walls. Key card only worked at certain entrances. Garbage and terrible smells in all the stairwells. Only left 2 stars and not 1 because the woman checking us in was nice and apologetic about the lengthy check in time.

It would be easier to say what didn’t go wrong. As soon as we walked into the main lobby it smelled horrendously of cigarette smoke with nobody smoking nearby at the moment. There was also a styrofoam bowl of half eaten dry cereal on a lobby chair. The two FDA’s were decent but we initially had an issue with our room key not working, (our room was on the complete other side of the building) and they fixed that. We get into our room and it is a complete disaster. Both queen beds unmade, lights on, bathroom door is open, light and fan were on. Almost as if someone rolled out of bed and left. After a 3 hour drive down and being in the sun for 16 hours we did not feel like it was going to be a clean stay and opted to go home because it was such a terrible welcome. They offered to get us a new room but declined and drove the three hours back home and were not charged. Although polite, NO ONE was remorseful about this, not even the two FDA’s but more importantly the manager who i had to deal with the next morning to get the refund straightened out. He talked to me as if everything was our fault and it was a big inconvenience on his end, and did as little as possible with saying “yeah sorry about that” word for word on regards to the issue. So it seems that this has happened in the past, and will continue to happen. Never, have I dealt with such a poorly run hotel and miserable manager. We will never think of coming back. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere if you can.

Room was not fit to stay in(bed bugs, filthy bathroom, moldy smell. Was in town one night due my mother’s wedding. Bc it’s summer and stayed in Sat night, no other hotels had available rooms, so that we could leave. Switched first room bc of bed bugs, second room had no bed bugs, but bedding not the cleanest and bath so dirty had to leave without a shower. Now I can’t get a refund for the $179 its cost. Expects is supposed to be contacting me regarding stay/refund

This is probably top 2 worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at in my life The smell of illicit smoke as I walk into the hotel area was ridiculous Then we get to our room which I specified to be non smoking and the disgusting smell of cigarettes as you enter ,had me coughing all night. I’ll be at a walk-in today if it doesn’t stop. We have stayed at numerous best westerns over the past 10 years or so. Hardly ever a problem . Even if it was a so so stay . But I felt the need to write a review about how awful this place smelled. . In hopes that other people don’t have a bad experience like we did Even my wife who is an ex smoker said it was so gross in that room. Please don’t let this fall on deaf ears . This makes me not wanna ever stay at another best western ever again. I never ask for a refund , but I would be disappointed if we weren’t refunded for this

Stated here a second time with my family for a lacrosse tournament. The hotel smells like cigarette smoke and the room was not very clean. The staff was friendly but the hotel itself needs to be refreshed and deep cleaned.

Entire hallway and room smelled like mold. Horrible stale musty smell. Plus the smell of weed at every entrance. We've stayed in Dover many times during our April vacations, and this place was the worst quality. Hard to believe it's the same price as Microtel across the street.
