Perfect weekend

Stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it . It’s a beautiful old building with a lot of original features. I had a single room and it was very nice.

Great hotel in a great location. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was very spacious as we upgraded to a four poster bedroom (room 120), but what we gained with having a great room we lost out on the view out of the bedroom window (limited to just a view of a flat roof). Would definitely go back to this hotel 👍

This was perfect for our needs, a Thursday night in Cardiff. Would definitely stay here again. Fantastic rooms, comfortable beds. Only after booking was I made aware that this hotel can be very noisy at the weekends - worth consider considering if you will be there on a Friday or Saturday night. It was wonderfully quiet on a Thursday night!

Very dated hotel. Rooms were ok but dated and the bathroom had a strange smell, reminded me of a hospital. The bar is weird, again very dated but feels more like a strip club than a hotel bar. The staff were fine but the night receptionist was a bit clueless.

Nice downstairs, upstairs not so…

Impressive when we turned up, but as we went upstairs and down the multiple corridors there was signs and odours of damp problems. The room was dated and also had damp issues, there was a dehumidifier in the corner which said it all. Luckily we were staying in the summer I couldn’t imagine this being very nice in the winter months

Stayed here as close to Bournemouth Pavilion where I was attending a show. Place was clean and staff welcoming. I had been warned prior to arriving about the bar and club which ran to late on Sunday morning but never noticed an issue with the noise from my room at the back of the hotel in the second floor

HOTEL IN A NIGHTCLUB

Arrived, parked in their secure car park checked in room reasonable everything going well until the ground floor nightclub opened loud music blaring out all evening so we asked for another room but were told us there were none available but they did offer us some ear plugs! We were informed the nightclub would be open until the early hours. We checked out at 00.30 and left. Avoid if won't a good night's sleep .

Was informed that there would be music till 1am which was ok with but it lasted till 4.25AM…did not sleep very well and neither did the wife. Had water dripping through the ceiling at one point in the early evening and was told that someone would come and check and change the room but nothing happened!! Would not stay here again. Room very old and worn…hotel needs a lot of money spent to bring it up to a better standard.
