Convenient and quiet

Choose this little hotel because of its location, convenient on return from Whitby.Wondered if would hear road noise but need not have worried as very quiet in room with window open and we weren't even at very back of building.Friendly welcome.Didnt use any facilities.Mentioned need for blackout blind as external security light meant room not as dark as could be,lady said had them ready to put up but just had windows replaced.

Enjoyable stay.

Our room was very comfortable with nice touches. There were 2 comfortable chairs (usually only one person has a chair), a box of tissues and the courtesy tray provided biscuits and bottles of water in addition to tea and coffee. These features were much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was well stocked and included drinks not commonly available these days. Not everyone is into trendy beverages. The food was excellent with generous portions. A really nice family run establishment which we would be happy to use again.

Our lovely stay at the Beansheif Hotel

We loved our stay at the Beansheif Hotel. The staff are so kind and pleasant and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. The room we had was beautiful and perfectly cosy and clean. Great amenities and little touches made the stay fabulous. We slept great in the cosy bed. We had dinner and drinks on the evening and the food was beautiful and again the service was outstanding. We also chose to have breakfast based on how delicious dinner was, and it was totally worth the small cost of £7.95 each! All of the food was delicious we were left stuffed. I would love to visit again and can’t wait to book. Thank you to all for our lovely stay.

We had a large room at the front of the hotel, but were not troubled by noise from the road. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. We stayed for 3 nights and breakfasts and dinners were all delicious.

2/10 Poor

We arrived at the Beansheaf at around 4.00pm and the man behind reception said he had no record of us and the hotel was full. we explained that we had booked through Expedia to which he said they did not have an account with you so we had to go away. We asked if he knew anywhere we could stay and he phoned up another hotel who could put us up for one night. We had to cancel a booking for a restaurant so overall not happy bunnies. Beansheaf thumbs down from me.

Reasonable value hotel

This hotel is located right alongside the A169 between Malton and Pickering. It's well situated for visits to either town for shopping or local attractions and also if you are visiting Flamingoland, just a few minutes away. Despite being right by the road, the hotel is fairly quiet (we had a room at the front so the rooms at the back would be even quieter). The room we stayed in was very spacious (larger than Premier Inn room, for example). The en suite was also roomy. Electric shower, so not as powerful as some. TV was a bit on the small side for such a long room though. Wi-fi was ok if a little slow at times. We didn't eat in the restaurant, so can't comment on the food but the menu and prices looked ok. The bar was quiet and prices were very reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.
