Beautiful view from my room, it’s so close to the beach and restaurants

Overall a good stay, a large room with a lovely sea view. The staff were great and accommodating but overpriced.

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely staff and nice large family room. The water pressure was a bit strange (going up and down during shower/bath) but otherwise perfect.

Enjoyed our stay at Selina. A really nice hotel, full of character and the staff are so friendly. There are cafes and shops nearby and within easy reach of Margate promenade and the beach. Would definately return.

Our room was extremely small, but we liked everything else here, especially the comforts of the foyer and dining area...
Timothy, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

We had a family room and liked how clean and spacious it was. However, we stayed for a few days and really missed having a small fridge in the room as well as a TV.
Silje, 2-night trip

We ordered breakfast on our booking but not available. The staff were very attentive and helpful.

I loved this place! Selina hotel is a bright and luminous hotel near the tidal pool of Walpole Bay in Margate, only 15min walk from the old town. Our suite was stunning - big, luminous with sea view, cosy modern decor, comfortable. The large living room, terrace, bar and restaurant space make you want to spend a holiday there. Team super chill and friendly. I recommend!

Lovely chill stay

Overall good vide and comfortable stay, staff were helpful. The only things that were disappointing were the lighting outside the room. See where the black handle on dark walls. Along with tired bathroom, missing handles on draw beside the bed, and a blow glass unit. These minor comments as please with our stay, was really good, and would gladly stay again.
Alan, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

More like a hostel & NOT a hotel. No basic amenities like tea/ coffee facilities, no tv. The room was the smallest accommodation ever stayed in. Definitely not suitable for 2 adults. View was of the roof. Very expensive hostel not hotel. The website is misleading!!
Julia, 3-night trip

The bed was comfortable. We would like a reund as my wife hurt her elbow on a bead edge sticky out or the tiling. The shower eas dirty uncleaned soap scum and the room was cold on entry. Staff were unfriendly.
Matt, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Breakfast was subpar and expensive. Bacon rolls were full of ketchup and eggs seemed to be overcooked or from a packet. No tea or coffee making facilities. There was a kettle but it was hidden away from guests at evenings and weekends. Room not refreshed so ran out of toilet roll.
Anne, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Breakfast options seemed limited, Parking not guaranteed, We were very lucky to get a space when somebody pulled out. Room was clean. Nice big bath towels. Letter sent asking us to register 72 hours before we arrived sounded like we would lose our pre-paid booking if we did not call. I tried to call the number and there was no response or call back. On our tight schedule this was very frustrating.
Thomas, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

I went on a Friday when big music event took place, of Manic Street Preachers so there was no taxi or bus available in the afternoon so had to walk over 30 minutes from station in heat. Shower in Room 5 didn't drain properly and no waste busket for paper towel or sanitary goods for female guests. Request for breakfast by what's app didn't work and at 11am only choice was breakfast muffin. That's little disappointing. They are very friendly and property is nice and lounge and cafe and garden were big and relaxing almost facing Margate coast and good for holiday makers as easy to follow the main promenade and find it.
Emiko, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Too expensive for what ended up feeling like a hostel experience despite paying almost £200 for one night in a private room. When we first arrived, the lady who greeted us was fine but gave the bare minimum like she wasn’t bothered whether we were there or not. I wouldn’t care if we hadn’t paid so much - you’d expect more warmth and enthusiasm for the price. Bedroom was very dark as it didn’t have a window. Shower wouldn’t change temperature - stayed boiling hot no matter what we did. No water in the room which seemed really stingey considering how much the room cost. The only water was lemon water down at reception, but being thirsty at night you don’t want to be trying to quietly find your key and get dressed in the dark (to not wake others), then sneak out get the lift downstairs to go get a class of water and back. No tea or coffee or TV - not a huge deal but again its the price that doesn’t match up. The bedsheets were rough and felt cheap. The walls are sooo thin so we were woken up every time someone used the lift, stairs or doors. The people in the room above us were playing loud booming music from the early hours and singing and stomping around - ceiling so thin we could literally hear the which songs they were playing. We ended up going home at 7.20am as we’d been kept awake so long. When we went to check out, no staff were around - waited a while, tried ringing the bell. It was a ghost town. We just put the key on the desk and left.

Perfect seafront hostel

it was a wonderful stay. Really nice bunk in the dorm, with a free one on one yoga class in the morning!!!

Just perfect!

2/10 Poor

No go!

Prijs/kwaliteit abominabel. Lift kapot. Betalen via bank transfer of cash want creditcard machine kapot. Het was warm maar geen airco en slechte ventilatie kamer. Oud, vieze vloerbedekking. Kortom een no go. Het ontbijt was helemaal schandalig; maar was kennelijk onafhankelijk van het hotel. Kortom een NO GO. Met uitzondering van Mariah, zij was TOP en regelde een refund voor ons!
Petronella, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Very big and good room. The bathroom is 5 stars. !!! But there was one big ventilation in front of the room. It was so very noisy that i could not sleep, even I closed all windows and doors. And it was very hot in the room.
Hà Thi Giang, 1-night trip
