The Woodside was a very nice hotel in a good location within Doune. My family enjoyed the stay. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The restaurant had good food at reasonable prices, and a very good to-order breakfast included in the room price. There is a well-maintained trail loop along the river to Doune a very short walk from the hotel too.

Great breakfast!!

The people were nice and friendly. Breakfast was great, and we slept well. We could see why this place has such great reviews! They go above and beyond - really exceptional service and your choice of a hot breakfast menu with all the extras. They really go the extra mile where hospitality is concerned!! We will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

Great stay, rooms were clean and the bathroom a great size as well as nice and clean. Huge towel rack which was nice and warm. Plenty of tea amd treats in the room, which was greatly appreciated. Must book table for evening meal as it is super popular. The breakfast was generous and beautiful. Definitely will go back if we qere in the area

It has Pro's and Con's like everywhere really

Pro's - staff were extremely helpful and the food was exceptional. Nice modern look to the whole building with great paintings. Con's - being above the bar you hear the music bumping until 11pm and this started again at 8:15am for breakfast. Not ideal for anyone stopping by on a journey and needing an early night or light sleepers. A mini fridge would have been useful as well. We would return for food 100% but I dont think we would be staying again.
