Reception on arrival was very good. Helpful as well to help me make the most of my overnight stay. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Well located for the old town and about 20 mins walk from the station - less going to the hotel, perhaps a little slower going back!

Nice property, great location, but not quiet.

Nice property, nice room, nice area and friendly staff. Great breakfast. If you’re a light sleeper, be forewarned that church bells across the street ring every 15 minutes all night long, and busses run directly by the hotel. Earplugs helped.

Location is terrific, about one block from the Cathedral and still walking distance from the train station. The staff is friendly and it is almost supernaturally quiet at night.

The hotel was neat and tidy but not too big. There was no facilities in the hotel and breakfast was not included. It was a hot day but we had no air conditioner but a small fan. Overall the hotel was ok, staff friendly and for the price, I have stayed at better hotels.

We have stayed here a number of times because it is right across the street from the historic cathedral and and easy walk to the Old City down below. They have paid parking but if you have any mobility issues this is not the place for you.

Wonderful location! Beautiful town. Lots to see, convenient for walking. Our room faced the Pl. Notre Dame and Cathedral St. Nicholas. Is parking next door, can buy pass at hotel. Ask staff as you can time purchase of pass to suit your needs; parking is free overnight. We loved it here.

Easy for old town

The hotel is really convenient for the centre of Fribourg. It is walking distance from the station but is also within an area that has multiple places to park (really handy for my friend who had a car). Our room had a view over the cathedral but we could walk to the city walls and the old town. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel

The hotel is a little old but comfortable with modern conveniences. It sits at the bottom of the main street for shopping and restaurants with a nice view of the cathedral across the street. Very easy access to a few restaurants — all walking distance. It was a couple of hot nights with no air conditioning so we had to open the windows. It was a bit noisy with some late night traffic but it died down and we got good sleep. Staff is superb, friendly, and anxious to help. Can’t ask for a better stay in sleepy (?) Fribourg.

Reception was very welcoming. We had an issue on first night and afternoon receptionist was able to help us in a very efficient and professional manner, and with a smile. It made our next few nights much more comfortable. We did not have breakfast at hotel, opting to have out in town. Hotel location convenient to old town, museums, eateries etc. Love the outside seats, especially in late afternoon where it was shaded and cool and you can watch the people in the streets. Great view of the cathedral. Bells were not an issue. Transport easy. We did upgrade to a comfort room as the economy did not suit us. Recommend to stay.

A Four-star hotel in 2026! Misleading information!

My partner and I were appalled by the misleading information given on Hotels.com. We saw a plaque at the hotel entrance that says “Four Stars 2026”, which means right now it is NOT a four-star hotel; it is HELL. I don’t understand why we were given thick blankets at the height of summer, a dusty mini fan and a mini fridge that doesn’t work. We had the WORST sleep for two nights. We couldn’t open the windows because it was noisy outside. My partner became sick and I think my cancer got worst during our short stay. AVOID AT ALL COST!!

Det här är INTE ett 4-star hotell. Personalen är fantastiskt och läget är centralt men det väger inte upp för den dåliga standarden. Vi blev uppgraderade till superior men standard är fortfarande motell. Kom även hem med en vägglus, om det är från hotellet eller från annan plats vet jag ju såklart inte men ej värt pengarna oavsett.

Rude receptionist. Tired and date hotel

I contacted the hotel prior to my arrival to advise that I needed power by the bed for a medical equipment machine. When I arrived, I discovered that there was a variety of different power outlets but all very old and damaged and none of them fitted the various adapters I had when I went to request assistance from reception they told me I needed to get on a bus and go into the centre of town and buy a suitable adapter which I did however none of the shops had a UK to Swiss . The receptionist was very rude and had no intention of helping out in the situation.
