Loved our stay here during our visit in Rothenburg ob de Tauber. Self parking right in the hotel. Beautiful daily breakfast spread. 10/10 location we can’t wait to return. Rooms were renovated, our room had a gorgeous massive soaking bathtub which was amazing after walking to explore the town. Staff was welcoming and helpful with recommendations. Would revisit this hotel if we end up in Rothenburg again

Everything about this hotel was great! The parking right behind the hotel was perfect. The staff were friendly. The room was very clean and quaint. The breakfast was very tasty with a variety of foods to choose from. The location was right by the gardens which was nice.

My husband I stayed two nights. We were greeted and treated with "love". It's the only way I can describe it. The staff was helpful in every way. The room was wonderful and clean. Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a beautiful German town, just like I imagined it to be. We would stay here again without question. The parking was fantastic. We walked everywhere and never even used our car.

Wonderful staff - after only a 2-day stay, we felt more like family and friends instead of customer and staff. Comfy rooms, tidy and clean. The very Breakfast consists of a small self-serve bar with a server bringing drinks and cooked-to-order eggs to your table. Taxi from the train station is 10 Euros and daily parking is 10 Euros/day. Hotel has a great location in the old city. We would stay here again.

Lovely Traditional Hotel

Lovely older hotel. Friendly staff overall. Great choice at breakfast. The only thing was that we like to sleep with our window open and the Clock Tower chimes on the hour so couldn’t get a good nights sleep. Not the fault of the hotel but maybe request a room at the back if you can.

Highlight of our trip!

Our stay here was the highlight of our trip. With a large family, we stayed in the chalet which was so nice and comfortable. We wanted to stay forever! The beds were comfortable. The views were beautiful. We were also right in the middle of everything. It was so easy to tour the old town. We hope to make it back here someday!!

We had a mix of 8 family members, 3 rooms. Each room was unique and spacious. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It is a beautiful mix of old-world and tasteful attention to modern updates. So many amazing details to take note of. Hotel staff were extremely friendly, kind and welcoming. The rose garten was just beautiful. Enjoyed beers out there in the afternoon and coffee in the morning. The on-site parking was fantastic and such a surprise, especially being right in the middle of the best part of town. Our family has been traveling throughout Europe for the last 2 weeks and hotel Burg Gartenpalais was the hands-down favorite of every person in our group. We all wished we had planned to stay longer. What a gem!

This was such a unique experience! The hotel has all the charm of an authentic historic guesthouse with the convenience of a modern bathroom/shower etc. Breakfast was great and the service was very personal. Lovely garden in the back and amazing views! Just down the street from the main plaza. I hope we can visit again. We highly recommend this property and Rothenburg ob der Tauber!

Traditional German Inn. Aside from location, which is outstanding, there was nothing that really separated it from other well run German Inns. The property is a bit dated, but aside from appearance it did not detract from our experience. 4 out of 5 stars

This property was the best place we have stayed so far on our trip to Europe. The room was exceptional. Every staff member we had contact with were the best. They treated us as if we were best friends. They were informative about the Hotel which is in an eight hundred year old building, but renovated to modern standers. Walking distance to anything you could ask for. Parking was a little tricky getting to it behind the Hotel but easily managed. We will be back.
