Maitlandfield House Hotel was an ideal location for our social visit to Haddington. Good central location, off road private parking, quite and close to the town centre. The staff were polite, friendly and professional. It felt like a home from home and that they cared for their guests. Food options very good, especially the Scottish cooked breakfast and Scots porridge.

Really enjoyed our stay, the staff were really lovely and friendly. The breakfast was lovely wished we had tried the evening meal too. The only downside was it could do with a bit of refurbishing ie new carpets in the bedrooms. Would definitely go back again.

Appearances can be deceiving!

The exterior is pretty run down. However our room was excellent, the dinner and breakfast perfectly good and the staff very amenable and helpful. The town of Haddington is interesting and has great links into Edinburgh. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
