Beautiful location and accommodation. Service was exemplary. Location was excellent for touring the region and we had a lovely experience visiting the local vineyard just opposite the chateau also.

A real treat. Beautiful chateau in wonderful surroundings, sip a glass of champagne as you wander around the grounds! The room was characterful and spacious and the decor throughout is beautiful. We had the gourmet dinner which was exceptional. The staff could not have been nicer.

Poor, they give you nothing. It’s like a 3 star hotel in a big house. Not even a safe or mini bar. No self closing doors. Not a hotel.

A wonderful place

This was such an amazing place to stay…. We enjoyed the room, the lounge in the afternoon, the great dining, and all the personal. Check out the local champagne house just outside the gate… we loved it all

I always enjoy staying at Chateau D'Etoges en router back to London from Avignon. staff are friendly and rooms so comfortable. the Atelier is good enough for supper but sad the restaurant was not open. Breakfast just delicious

Off the beaten path - we liked the quiet, but it's still a 30 minute drive to Epernay.
Martha, 3-night trip

This is probably the most beautiful place I have stayed in my entire life. It is as lovely as the pictures, if not better in person. The room was spacious and the bathroom was modern. The grounds and surrounding area feel like you are in a fairy tale. We ate at the restaurant (the more casual one) and it was fantastic. The staff at the hotel were also working at the restaurant, and they are so friendly. Stay here, you will not regret it.

Impressive

really impressive Chateau, disappointing the main restaurant was closed on Monday but the Bistro was still good. Will be back

6/10 Good

Setting lovely. Food wonderful. This was our fourth stay over several years. Room was disappointing compared to previous stays. En suite was of a high standard not reflected in the room itself which was average.
1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The property itself was stunning and the staff was wonderful! I would highly recommend booking the dinner and breakfast though, because the area around the chateau was almost entirely vacant and nothing was open. We had to walk to the nearby grocery store for a snack lunch so just be prepared…or bring a car! Overall so wonderful though!

Restaurant is pretty good - just double check the bill. Too over priced for the condition of the rooms (that do not look like the photos) but hey its still a palace. I just expected more. Staff uppon arrival was kind.
Arthur, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Gréât experience as usual, dinner 5 star culinary experience. However the property does not allow you to bring your own bottle of champagne around the property or outside. The property is amazing and a picnic was our usual place to relax and reflect on the great day we had exploring the area and the champagne houses. We spent a lot of money for the room and at dinner and being told that we could not consume our own bottle outside on the grounds rubbed us the wrong way.
Ryan, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Not impressed by having so many ants in the room, got cleaned the day after but came back. No mention of it during checkout, not even how was your stay, no offer to compensate us, nothing. We had ants crawling in the bed
Emmanuel, 2-night trip

Low value for money in my eyes

Etoges

Lovely chateau, marred slightly by only being dog friendly in the hotel, (for €30 per night), not in the restaurant, and not in the breakfast area. That’s fine, but we would have chosen elsewhere if we had known. The nearest restaurant is 14 km away and the gates are closed on return- we had the code, but it’s just not friendly.
Karen, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Rooms were not well maintained for example old musty smell and slippery wood floors. No elevator access and guests were invited to carry their own bags down multiple steps. No entertainment, surrounding area looked like a ghost town. Breakfast in the sunny yellow room was nice. Perhaps this property was once grand but no longer.
Carl, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great and charming chateau, friendly service. Both restaurants were very good. Excellent breakfast as well. Would come again.
