8/10 Very good

Its a pub with rooms not a chain hotel so that's what to expect. Very handy for the town and the nearby air base. No fuss check in or out. Pub area looked good with a mixture of bar area and slightly more relaxed seating area.

Room and bathroom upgrades were absolutely amazing for such an old building. Really Enjoyed the stay

Staff were so friendly they made me feel very welcome! Located right in the center of town so has easy access to everything.

Hotel was a bit dated, bit of a 70's era for furniture and decor which was quite charming. Rooms confortable, staff friendly and welcoming, great food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Nice l

Easy to find, parking at rear. Staff friendly, check in easy. Hotel side a bit run down, room adequate. Decor and fittings dated but the room and bathroom was clean and tidy. Towels and bedding clean. Bit overpriced for what you get but it served its purpose.

Staff friendly, professional, very helpful

10/10 Exceptional

Pleasant and helpful staff. Plenty of free parking and located centrally in town. Great price and value for money. Recommend for a informal, low cost stay in a historic building.
Jonathan, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The rooms are what you expect in a popular pub and were fine. The car park is a good size and useful for motorcyclists.

2/10 Poor

Terrible

Shower didn’t work, room not clean , bed not comfy at all. Room really dated. Way too overpriced for the condition it’s in
Nigel, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The staff were all very friendly. The room was spacious and clean the window had a cracked pane of glass. Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable a new mattress is needed.

Back in time

People were friendly and so helpful. The rooms need updating, I went back in time to my Nans bedroom in the 80’s. Toilet flushed and the who pub heard. Didn’t try the food but drinks were reasonable. It was a last minute booking and the price matched what I got.

The Bell

The hotel is rather tired, the linen and towels were clean, there was shampo conditioner and soap, tea coffe and milk provided. The room we had was on the front and because the windows weren't double glazed there was lots of traffic noise. The carpet could do with a good clean or be replaced. They don't do breakfast but there is a cafe round the corner does a nice one for £7. The food on the manu was very reasonably priced.

We'd stayed at the Hotel before and it has changed, the customer service is fantastic , the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's very quaint and probably won't be everyone. However its clean and has charactor

Nice one night stay in historic pub hotel

A lovely little building in Mildenhall. Certainly an historic building, and comes with the quirks of its age, but the team has done a brilliant job of adapting and making it up to date. Missing shampoo, and no hair dryer, but the bed was great and the shower fantastic. Kettle and tea bits were all I really needed :-).

6/10 Good

The staff are lovely and friendly and they accommodated my request for a quiet room. The check in and out process was quick and easy. I didn’t sleep so well because of noise from the next door’s TV until past midnight but obviously that’s inevitable and not the hotel’s fault. The room was spacious and had high ceilings but it’s quite tired and needs a facelift- a redecoration, regrouting, a new bathroom light cord etc. It does the job for the night though.
Louise, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The room that I was located was situated at the back of the hotel. The room was comfortable and a fan was provided due to the very hot weather, which was a great help. The down side.... below my window is the yard which is like a garden and unfortunately got very noisy at times during the evening when customers were out there.
Carol, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

No hot water in the shower, I complained twice and was told it was old plumbing and I needed to time my showers to avoid peak use. The mattress had springs poking out of it. The windows are single glazed and the blinds/curtains are so thin they dont keep any noise or light out. I wont be back.
Janet, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great location easy to find close to all shops 10 min drive to mildenhall stadium up on straight road room was pretty basic had everything you need cant say anything about the food has haven't eaten but smelt amazing they don't do breakfast but is a cafe next door that they recommend was lovely will be staying again when next up.

Management professional, friendly. Room clean, and kept clean. Food poor. At times management paid more attention to bar guests than hotel guests!
