10/10 Exceptional

We were right in the town centre, which made it convenient for shopping and places to eat. We felt very welcome and at home. The facilities were clean and very comfortable, and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would stay again at the drop of a hat!

Staying in Sherburn

My stay was perfectly fine. The accomodation is sensibly priced and 'does exactly what it says on the tin!'

8/10 Very good

Nice little pub c.lean room good price and barmaid had a massive chest
Tony, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Located behind the pub, our room was simple, and just what we needed for a place to crash while visiting the town of York. Driving distance to the local attractions and walking distance to groceries, restaurants, pubs, and more.
Chris, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely room , clean and fresh.
Gerald, 5-night trip

6/10 Good

Average at best

Staff was lovely and really helpful when we arrived. Location was good and had a good size car park right where we was staying. The room was a nice cosy room with nice clean beds but the beds seemed springy and cheap which played on my back the next morning. Also the shower itself I’ve felt more pressure from staying in the rain which made it hard to take a shower.

Good.

The room was V good, but unfortunately the sound proofing between the rooms was poor.

Every thing was great the only problem was being woken up early by someone arguing above us nothing to do with the place
Karen, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Lovely hotel/pub in a lovely village the room was lovely but the only complaint we have was the shower the pressure was so poor we had to take the shower head down and wash that way.. we did report it and they did take a look but nothing really they could do really ..
Louise, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Didn't need to take pictures as i am not there to judge

Overall this is a good place but i would like to suggest getting anti slipery mat in the showers and some new towels white towels please we used old towels that look like they had some brown detergent stains but apart from that a good service.
Moses, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Only there for an overnight stay, but would return again and recommend to others. Small but functional room. Well supplied with essentials. Friendly helpful staff. When having travelled a long way with dogs I wanted somewhere to walk them and find somewhere to eat
Vivienne, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Lovely location. Enjoyed walking into the small town. Plenty of good eating & drinking places. Decent clean room, very good for the price. The only downside was the thinness of the walls & ceiling. We could hear EVERYTHING & every word in the adjacent room & every movement in the room above. That's fine as you're the one getting up regularly throughout the night or the first ones up having a shower --not so much if you like your sleep & a bit of a lay in beyond 6 am. Good wifi Comfortable beds in twin room no 5
Rae, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Overall good stay but some improvements are needed

The checkin was fast and efficent, the room and bed were comfortable. The pillows were stained and the fridge had a mouldy smell when you opened it. I was dissapointed that the bar stopped serving by 5:00 on a Saturday. As we only arrived at 4:30. The staff were friendly and the entertainment was good.

The Oddfellows arms

The room was small but clean, no evening meals available the evenings we stayed, we were unaware they don't serve breakfasts,

Just passable
Peter, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Ok for one night.

Room was basic and functional. Bathroom smelt due to empty trap in the sink. Outside was unkempt.

The Oddfellows Arms

Nice clean room separate from the pub so not noisy at all.
John, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Just OK!!!

Just about OK for a room for the night but the room rate for what you get reflects the lack of choice of accommodation in the area!!! For example, we are staying just outside York later in the year and have a room, B&B rate for less than we paid here!!!
Alastair, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The worst stay ever . The toilet flushing system did not work. The smell put us off taking a shower. ( next to each other) service was terrible bed was uncomfortable etc . Will recommend family and friend never stay at this hotel
