Good value for an excellent location. Nothing fancy, but a nice place to sleep, with a fully equipped kitchen and a great communal space. As long as you don't mind sharing a room, bathroom, etc. Helpful and friendly staff. A great place to stay.

Liked because: Super friendly, helpful and flexible. Great vibes, warm atmosphere. Relaxed. So, thank you much! Not liked because: A curtain for each bed, in the shared rooms, could help. Nonetheless, I would for sure recommend!

The place is well maintained and there is a common area for spending time with lots of games and books, they even have a guitar to play. The rooms are like different divisions in three floors and each room have bunker beds in it. The WiFi speed was good I was able to connect to it and work remotely. Suitable to single travellers not that good for family as I don’t know if they have private rooms. Thank you 😃.

Good location, good vibes and good other guests. However, two asian staff were not nice. They were not like rude, but never friendly and always talking each other in their language. They also stayed in the same room as guests, and two bottom bunks were already taken by them. Bottom bunks are more comfortable than top one, so at least there should be staff’s room aside from guests’ one.

A close call...

I was in ton working and I got a call from Ottawa Backpackers Inn telling me they close early and I have to check in. I told them working til after 11PM and would come straight over. I got lost and they stopped answering the phone at midnight. I found the place and some kind of junior employee let me in but couldn't find my reservation despite me giving him my reservation number and instead offered me the couch in the front lobby. I sat down for five minutes before I decided to reach out to friend to let me stay over and I left. The next day I called to see about getting my room for the second night and they said they cancelled my reservation and rebooked the room and then admonished me for sleeping on the couch and told me I am no longer welcome there but not before gaslighting me and telling me staff waited for me until 1:30AM which couldn't be true since I was calling repeatedly to get directions. Is it a good place to stay? I can't say. Is the staff made of garbage? Yes.

There is so much to enjoy here. The staff are amazing and very helpfull. The premises are clean and tidy. I have met many wonderfull people during my stay here. I strongly recommend this place. Everything a person may need is just walking distance. Awesome location.
