Nice small hotel

Nice small hotel - close to the Mumbles and easy reach to the rest of the Gower.

We had a one night stay here. It was very easy to find and felt very secluded. The immediate surrounding area was very pleasant.

Gower hotel was above our expectations. Big convenient rooms. Perfect service. Very dog friendly. I may recommend this hotel for anyone who travels to Swansea, especially if you travel with a dog.

Comfortable beds and helpful staff

Staff were very helpful and accommodating to requests. We stayed in one of the dog friendly apartments that was very comfortable, however did have a slight whiff of urine to it.

Perfect little spot

This is such a little gem of a hotel. Was even nicer than I expected. And travelling solo, the lady at reception was so friendly, gave me advice on where to take a coastal walk nearby. Hope to try the breakfast next time, heard from a couple of locals that their breakfast and afternoon tea are fabulous. See you soon, can't wait to come back ☺️

The hotel was absolutely lovely and the staff was so wonderful and welcoming! The food was the best we’ve had since coming to the UK! It’s such a cozy hotel, we’d love to visit again! Beautiful all around we can’t say more good things because it left us in such good spirits! Thank you!

One night stay

Just stayed one night with breakfast and evening meal all the food was lovely. Though breakfast you had to choose between cooked or continental Staff were very happy and helpful and the hotel was extremely well presented with beautiful garden area. We stayed in the lodge room as we preferred a king size bed, the room was a good size and very clean even though they allowed dogs

I didnt know how truly cool a hotel i had booked until i got there. The parking was stupidly easy, the staff greeted me with a smile, the food at dinner was amazing. Along with breakfast the next day. The whole place is perfect for cute photos and the garden was ideal. i love how close it was to the city, but not part of it. I will be coming back to stay there. It was so well planned out with the staff so helpful and on time for everything. Love, love loved it

Hygiene needs improvement

Well managed friendly hotel. Good that they provide dedicated chalets in the grounds for guests with dogs, however allowing dogs in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was very disappointing and unhygienic. A large mongrel was being fed toast from the table!

Exploring the Gower

Another lovely stay at The Gower Hotel. The location is great for exploring the Gower, so quiet and peaceful. The evening meal was excellent and beautifully presented. Good wine choice at sensible rates, well done. The only thing that I felt was a let down was the orange squash instead of fresh juice at breakfast and morning coffee that lacked flavour for us. Change those and I would give the stay 5 stars.
Nigel, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel and room were clean. However, the bed was not that comfortable as it had a slight slope on each side which tended to roll you out. Breakfast was OK but the food was obviously cooked in advance and then heated up to be served. This didn’t make the food as enjoyable as it would have been had it been freshly cooked.

Charming, helpful staff and comfortable, welcoming environment for our 4 night stay. Compliments to the chef for excellent breakfasts and dinner.

A lovely stay in a beautiful area. All you need for a short stay. Friendly staff and lovely food.
margaret, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Very basic room in lodge, not comparable with main building. eg small, bathroom blind broken, wire hangers, had to pass next door’s room window to enter, flimsy curtains so not dark for sleeping. Stayed in main building several times which is superb so this was disappointing.

Tucked away with a themed restaurant

The room was in a lodge at the rear of the house. It's was modern, stylishly decorated and well appointed. Good size bathroom had a problem with the drainage. The Monroe restaurant had a fixed two or three course menu (mushroom then salmon for me)and although the dishes were expertly presented as much as I wanted to like them I just didn't, I found them too bland for my taste. I hoped that breakfast would be better but the solid poached eggs & budget sausage just cemented my opinion. I would stay again but eat out.

Great three nights stay. Comfortable spacious room. Good breakfast. Quiet location although easy to reach various beaches. Recommended.

Amazing place just needs attention

Beautiful hotel with a very friendly landlady. Luxurious room. But the bed had a slope so that was a little uncomfortable and the breakfast was cold.

Night way

We stayed here the night before attending a wedding and what a great little find it was, we would definitely stay again. The room was really lovely and service at the hotel was great. The evening meal in the restaurant was stunning, attention to detail was second to none!

This hotel is a hidden Gem of the Gower, I got married here 2 years ago, Linda and the team were awesome then, went back for our 2 year anniversary and once again nothing was too much trouble for them, hotel has a real family feel to it and they make you feel so welcome. Great value for money, would recommend to anyone.

Well appointed room. Good facilities but no phone signal and at the bottom of a steep hill wbich had to be negotiated to go out.
