The front desk person on the day I arrived wasn’t very friendly. The reception area had a weird smell, and there were a pair of dirty sneakers sitting by the window. I asked for a towel, and they gave me one from a white box — it was dirty. I asked, “Is this clean?” and they said, “Yeah, it’s clean.” Pretty unpleasant, honestly.
I didn’t spend much time there. The location is good, and the neighborhood feels safe. I guess for NYC, the price and quality kind of match.
The guy at the front desk on Sunday during check-out was the only one who was nice and helpful — he’s the one who slightly turned my experience around.
Would I recommend it? If you’re not too picky and you’re on a budget, it’s fine.
