A bit dated young staff one night stay very warm heating on in July??
Kenneth, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good value for money. Parts of property showing ware. Would be helpful to have light on sign on entrance.
Eiry, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

Worst stay ever, do not go there

Extreme outdated and worn, should have been renovated long before. The dinner was so tasteless you can't imagine. Very noisy, you can hear everything what is going on. Breakfast was included, we skipped that without looking, after the experience of the dinner
Gerard, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The shower pressure was weak. Otherwise the hotel was just as we expected.
Marian, 1-night trip

Good value for money hotel

Just returned from a 3 night stay. Hotel is a little dated but clean we had room 4 on the ground floor which was nice and spacious although no central heating instead we had 2 small electric oil filled radiators which only managed to heat room. Dinning room for breakfast and evening meal had No heating and was freezing. Think every guest commented on it being so cold. Remember you get what you pay for and this hotel is definitely good value for money. I would return but only in the summer months
James, 3-night trip

Stopover

Had to wait in an unattended ballroom for breakfast because we had the dog, took ages for staff to come, had to walk round the corridors to bring breakfast back. The radiators in the corridors were so hot it was boiling. Its a shame this place could be great and as its up for sale hopefully someone will buy it and make it nice inside again.
Tracey, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Room was basic, old fashioned condensation windows, but probably due to age, breakfast was nice, suppose only bad thing was there was no hot water, so could not have a shower, another guest was mentioning this problem. As i was only there 1 night i did not complain
1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Need to be clearer about chiefs specials. You have to order in the morning but this is difficult in the first day.dint mind the set menu but it should have the chefs special on the printed nenus.also the fireign visitor's dud nit gave the menu in their language which caused problems. Quiet entertaining for us but not the visitors. The staff looked after us and it was in a great location. The bathroom needed overhall. It was all very clean
Hayley, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Nice building but our room was unacceptable

Didn’t stay. Saw the room and left due to the condition. As no other suitable rooms available we had no option but to leave.
P, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Everything was fine apart from the food. Not many gluten free options and what was on the menu was out of stock. Also my partners food was not good at all.
Tammie, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Ants in the shower

I was disgusted to look in the shower tray and find hundreds of small ants all over the shower tray and under the shower mat!
Murray, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

I like the gardens. The property is tired and needs a renovation. Wallpaper is peeling off the wall. The shower drain is clogged and I have to wait 10 minutes to clear the dirty water and wash my feet with clean water again before i step out of the shower.
Bien, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Hotel needs an update. Room was drab(not welcoming at all), marks on walls, woodwork chipped, dusty and ripped chairs. Bedding/towels were clean though and room was large with comfortable bed. No privacy screens on windows on the ground floor room. Wouldn't go back-was glad it was just 1 night!
Alan, 1-night trip

Laceration to forehead

I have a serious head inju which resulted from the glass shelf which is fixed direct above the wash basin , In mz opinion it is fixed to low and is dangerous . i filled out a form the following morning at reception .
