Ryde one Night

The room was fabulous, Cindy with my own bath, clear instructions to get back in and booking in. And times for breakfast which was very good standard
Diana, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The Royal Esplanade was the perfect spot for our stay in Ryde. It is just across from the main bus transfer spot to get the Breezer and Coastal buses. It is clean and has an excellent cooked breakfast included with the rooms. I will stay there again when we return to Ryde.
Barbara, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Slightly faded hotel, but the room was small but pleasant. Bathroom was good with a large shower. Conveniently near peir, bus station and hovercraft terminal.
William, 1-night trip

We traveled from the USA. We had a wonderful stay. We took the Hovercraft across the water and the Hotel was directly across the street The staff was very helpful and kind. The bath towels were very nice. The only thing missing for me were face washcloths. Our breakfast was included and was delicious and plentiful. Because it is such a spacious hotel, I was able to meet with my cousin and aunt I hadn’t seen in 50+ years inside the hotel. I was able to purchase tea and coffee and cake for us to enjoy while we visited.

Simon, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

An island icon that needs some updating for sure. The rooms are very basic and small, and it feels more like a dorm set up than a proper hotel. Having said that the staff were lovely and Harry’s bar is as awesome as ever.

For what we paid, this hotel was very good value. Great location for all transport links and great breakfast options too. I happily stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel, it is close to all forms of transport & I deal for the hovercraft, etc
Simon, 2-night trip

Great location, cute hotel, great food at the restaurant reasonably priced. Staff was very nice and welcoming. WiFi wasn’t very stable. Seems like staff puts good effort to keep this historic building in a good shape and still preserve its character.
Iryna, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Very friendly and helpful staff wether it be waitress receptionist or cleaner nothing was to much trouble. We had a family room which was spacious with comfortable beds and a roomy ensuite. We dined at the hotel every night and the meals were delicious, well cooked, plentiful and reasonably priced we had no complaints to make about anything. This was our second time of staying at this hotel and we would definitely stay again.
Brian, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

Staff are good but property is old. Hence they are limited to do any improvements. Hence no WiFi in rooms and our TV in room was not working when we checked. Got a replacement which was so small TV. So no entertainment and there is a pub nearby which is very noisy at night.
Vijay, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We were staying at the hotel for a RAF Regiment reunion, hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and always happy to help. Breakfast was lovely and hot and had a good varied menu. Our room was clean and well presented, with a good choice of hot drinks available, perhaps a bottle of water would be good too. All in all we had a fantastic stay and will be returning next year.
Carol, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The staff was very attentive. Good meal options. The windows need some attention as not clean. Cobwebs on ceiling were seen.
MARIANNE, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

There was nothing to say good about the hotel room was dirty from previous guest, towels very poor quality no hot breakfast avalible ,staff could do with training more intrested in talking behind reception instead off paying attention to guests, staff untidy looked more like no uniform day at school, maintance more of a hindrance to receptionist, hotel needs modernising view from window was all the crap ,heating bairly worked ,shower room only fit for children
Stan, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was a comfortable stay, room was generally clean just some marks around the toilet that looked as though they could have been removed with a better clean. A fridge in the room would be nice to enable storage of cold drinks for overnight. Breakfast wasnt great, the sausages in particular were unpleasant, but the staff service at breakfast was good.
1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Room needed updating - limited breakfast - only expensive street parking - I would not go back to this hotel.
John, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

We were a bit disappointed with the hotel and with the unexpected parking charge of £5 per day to park 60 yards away in an unsupervised stony yard. The hotel room was clean and well decorated but the cleaning service was not too good ie towels not folded in morning, tea bags not replenished, bed not made up very well. The Dining Room was nice but the service was disorganised and it was obvious that the coach party there at same time was their main priority. We were informed that a 6.30pm evening was available and that we were allocated a table for the stay, however after the first day they changed the time to 7.00pm without informing us and we were told just to sit anywhere there was an empty table. The service was hit and miss, I heard several guests commenting to the waitresses they had been waiting half an hour for their food. The furniture in the lounges was old and tired with split leather seats and worn carpets. We would only rate this hotel 3 star at most and will not be returning and will not recommend this to any of our friends.
