Great hotel at a reasonable price!

This hotel is a great choice for a short stopover. All staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are comfortable with a huge bathroom , which is well kitted out with amenities. The only downside is the air conditioning unit which is very loud. Breakfasts are varied and dinners are tasty.

We spent three nights at the hotel on our first trip. The room was not in good condition and it smelled. After our trip to Ella, we returned and stayed for a couple more nights, and we were given a better room, which was very nice. The service personnel were very helpful, and we got everything we needed

Friendly, clean, modern bathroom

Friendly and helpful staff. A pleasant, modern hotel in relatively central location. In the built-up hustle and bustle of Kandy which may not be to everyone’s taste. Breakfast was good value. Room was simple but comfortable with modern bathroom and hot shower. One small issue - our room was one of those situated around a central stairwell and noise of people up and down stairs/in and out of rooms etc carries - can be disturbing late in the evening.

The hotel is in a central location, but at times found it hard to try and park our taxi due to the roads being so busy. The pool was smaller than we anticipated but we’ve got to say the bed was soooooo comfy! The hotel’s central location made it easy to walk into town. The room was ok, but had no windows to the outside, just into the indoor courtyard. The hotel also offers 0 use of plastic so offers water glass jars to be filled up for your room. All in all the hotel was good.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sevana City. All the staff were very friendly and helpful including the restaurant. The food was good and fair prices. The room was clean and bed was comfy. Only comment would be some more space to put toiletries in the bathroom. Free water filter was very helpful. Nice outside area for lounging or dip in pool. Good location for getting to main sights by foot. We ate at ‘mystery meat’ just opposite the hotel which was also good. The hotel kindly organised a guide for a day trip to Sigiriya from why not getaways…Rehan was BRILLIANT and we would recommend him to anyone!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a little tired but the bathroom looked newly refurbished. We had a drink in the roof top bar which was nice.The menu looked good too but not great for vegans so we didn’t eat there. We also didn’t get time to use the pool which was a shame. Would happily stay there again if returning to Kandy. Very good value.
