Pretty basic but had everything you could need. Staff very friendly and keen to help. Bed was a bit creaky and shower was not good (temp and power inconsistent). But very well located near the heritage railway and coast path.

In a great location, this simple hotel gives good honest service and accommodation, it overlooks the beach and the train station, from which you can travel back in time on a steam train. The town is just down the road and for bigger shops, there are 3 supermarkets 10 minutes walk away. You can walk along the promenade in either direction, and a visit to the harbour is well worth the walk. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast, and has tea, coffee and cakes on sale during the day. Overall I think the hotel offers great value for money and a great location from which to enjoy Minehead.

Incorrect listing information.

The hotel listing did not match the offering provided by the hotel. After a day of driving 300 miles, all I need from a hotel is a restaurant and decent room. The listing did not state the food service stopped at 3pm, which is not ideal for when working away. The downstairs is not setup for guests to lounge and the bar shuts at 9pm. The room was basic and spacious. Bed comfortable but the shower was a bath mixer which was hard to regulate the temperature.

The room was OK, a lot of noise from the room upstairs with very little sound deadening, old fashioned taps and the shower went hot and cold. But, a good breakfast and great location. Staff were great.

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff! Gorgeous hotel and room a couple steps away from the beach! I had to do an online interview on the day I checked out! They were very helpful, let me check out late and complete the interview in the office as I was having technical issues! I would definitely go back and stay at the hotel again! I had a wonderful experience during this stay!

Fantastic hotel

The Beach Hotel is virtually on the station platform. To wake up to smell of the steam form the engines. No smoke in your room! They are not noisy as they dont start up early morning or late at night. Every thing is within walking distant or mobility scooter. The Beach hotel has no lift. Rooms are easy to scooter around. The food is fantastic no faults at all. It is run by the YMCA offering homeless people, people with Autism and special needs, they get a chance to earn hospitality skills to enable them to work in the wider places. Such a good place to start a holiday.

Booked and paid for a family room, double bed and sofa bed, turned up to just a double bed, my 18 year old son didn’t want to share a bed hence booking a family room, apparently fully booked so split a double bed into 2 singles. Very disappointed as very small beds.

Great location, and I love the aim of the project! The room was a good size, very comfortable but because of the age of the building it lacks A/C. Opening the window made the room fresh and breezy, but a bit noisy as it looks out onto the main street

Lovely stay with a cracking view

Beds were very comfy and the food was good. I had an omelette which was delicious with cheese, bacon and mushroom served with an english muffin. Lots of cereal to choose from and croissants.
