Didn't realise I have to share a bathroom. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the neighbour and the receiver on the phone clearly. The cupboard shelving is worn out and the window screen is ripped and old. A cheap hotel is what you pay for.

6/10 Good

Good choice for budget traveller

During our stay there is no hot water but aparta from that basically the hotel meets our demand as the price is reasoanable and not far away from the city. Simple breakfast is also a plus.

Lovely historic property, clean, comfortable, everything has been thought of & provided. Plus the added bonus of breakfast being included. Only a few minutes walk to the free connector bus into the city. I enjoyed my 5-night stay.

Great Location

Excellent location within walking distance to Adelaide CBD, restaurants, cafes and shopping. Team members most helpful and Curtis, no request to big or small. Parkland opposite, great for those with children, or seeking the opportunity for some fresh air and exercise during your stay.
Robert, 8-night trip

2/10 Poor

Resembles a shed! Disgraceful condition! Next time will get a proper motel.
Kim, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Wonderful, friendly service from Andrew and David. Absolutely beautiful old mansion, so much character. Good brekky facilities. The lodge was clean and well-presented. Great dining venues a short walk away. Lovely parklands over the road. Pleasant verandah with a view. Easy distance to City, Gardens and Zoo.
Brenda, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good location for me. I found the heating didnt make my room warm enough tho
Michael, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Loved the heritage of the place, HATED the horrendous mattress and hidious noise from the reverse cycle air conditioning, the 'buffet' breakfast was make your own toast or your choice of 3 breakfast cereals, not exactly the buffet that i had imagined... bacon, eggs sausages, fried tomato and toast... unfortunately not.
John, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The Lodge was once a grand building, so it certainly has it's charm, but it is now quite outdated. It is as clean as an old building can be and seems secure. The staff are friendly and helpful and my teenage companions enjoyed the continental breakfast in the dining room. The beds were comfortable and a good size with clean linen. Out door parking at rear is convenient but it is not fully sealed so I had to carry our cases to the car or they would have dirty/wet wheels. It is in the Adelaide Airport flight path which did not bother us.

door handle knob was broken, room was an extension of the property, very tight room, no microwave never recommend any one

In need of some work

We wre in an external room, pretty run down looking and very small by Australian standards. Quite a lot of aircraft noise, and was probably made worse by the room we were in. Under normal circumstances would probably look elsewhere
Vincent, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

The stairs, I have a hip problem, had I known the property had stairs only we would not have stayed, consequently I am really suffering today…
Helen, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

The room was old and tied. Broken bathroom window which couldn't be closed and let cold air into the room. Broken window blind cord. Small TV screen with free to air only.
Jeffrey, 1-night trip

Great location at Princes Lodge.

Accommodation in Adelaide during the AFL Gather round was at a premium and hence pricing was somewhat higher than normal, but that's to be expected. Princes Lodge is more like a guest house with basic rooms and a large dining room where a small breakfast is provided. The premises are somewhat old but if you are looking for somewhere simply to sleep, this does the job. It does not provide the other comforts some motels do such as pools, foxtel, gyms etc. Bed was reasonably comfortable and wi-fi worked well. This property provided reasonable value. Located a 10 minute walk from North Adelaide shopping precinct and 25 minute walk to the Adelaide oval. A lovely park was directly accross the road which provided an early morning walk.
Michael, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Understandably, it is a three star but, there’s no need to be under that for cleaning and removing unsightly items. The rooms at the rear of the premise was the old stable at the turn of the century with its set out of more suited as frat house arrangement and is in need of repair such carpet, grey mould on the ceiling above the shower and along the row of windows. Didn’t sleep all that well. Thinking being at the back of the main rooms would be far more quiet but remembering you have airport jets flying directly over the premises up until 11:30 and starts again 5am. There are several premises around the area for a far more decent price a choice of 2 rooms. Again, basic accommodation and if they did some general maintenance such as the driveway to the rear, freshened up regularly and cleaned It may get a higher rating.
