We had a fantastic stay at the Mayflower. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent. It's close to numerous walks around Lymington & Keyhaven nature reserve. We will be back.

Excellent stay - the location is great and a nice walk to the town centre & Quayside as well as an easy drive through the New Forest - the room was lovely & spacious & the bed extremely comfortable! The shower was one of the best hotel showers I have used! The food was excellent especially the breakfast - and finally the staff, they were brilliant!!!!!! At times the pub was very busy yet the staff were always kind & cheerful & the service they gave was exceptional - I would highly recommend staying here!!!

Lovely place, great food and friendly staff

Great place to stay for Valentines day with good location. Lovely warm welcome from staff on arrival who showed us to our room. Stayed in room 5, gorgeous room which was very spacious.Cocktails were great and the food was delicious. Unfortunately we didnt sleep very well due to very hot room and faulty radiator. Comfy kingsize bed and great shower. Breakfast was delicious and member of staff was very helpful. Will definitely return

Lovely, old inn with lots of character. Staff were great, very welcoming and eager to please. Property was very clean but could do with a refresh as the decor is now looking a little tired

Lovely place to stay

Booked as a surprise for my husband’s birthday. Great hotel located in a very convenient location. Lovely walk to the town quay and high street. Lovely spacious room with an amazing view, great staff. Excellent evening meal. We both really enjoyed our stay. Thank you. Would highly recommend to others.

We were a bit further from the town than I thought . The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel was a bit run down . The staff were extremely friendly.

We booked this last minute just as we arrived in Lymington - and the staff were all really friendly and helpful - we booked a table for dinner which was really good. Room was perfect - only small thing was that the emergency light above the door was really bright - and I’m sure this is out of their control. Breakfast was spot on and again the staff were lovely. Will definitely go back.

Stay Here………Fabulous Attention to Detail

The staff were exceptional. Loved the attention to detail and the location was incredible. Only two gripes, I was in room two, bed was very squeeky and the light on the emergency lighting was exceptionally bright. Only small gripes really as the hotel and staff were awesome

Perfectly dog friendly accommodation. My hounds could come to dinner and breakfast and just hang out with me in the bar. The rooms are spacious and clean with a wonderful comfy bed. Local area to explore, dogs welcome, and an exhilarating solent walk. Went to unwind with my babies and we did just that! Oh and the food was just fab, huge portions and very beautifully presented. Well done Mayflower, i felt welcomed.

Beautiful mayflower

We had a wonderful mini break . Location is perfect. Staff and service are amazing and nothing is too much trouble . The food is amazing !! Would definitely return We have an electric vehicle and it would have been helpful if they had a charger in the carpark , however there is an electric charger around the corner in the marina carpark . Beautiful sunrise if you are awake early enough .

Double booked

My only complaint was a phone call on our journey to the hotel to be told our room was doubled booked. We were offered an alternative room but a lower grade. However the room was fine and comfortable. Not a good start to the first time we have used Hotels .com

A little gem on the coast.

I found this little gem whilst looking for somewhere near the New Forest but also close to the sea. We took our two children (6 & 10) down and this place is great, a really great base to explore from. From the warm welcome that greeted us, the fantastic cosy setting which met all of our needs, the amazing dinner and breakfast and everything in between I can't speak highly enough. My partner enjoyed the choice of around 20 Gins in the bar for a light tipple and the children loved the home made biscuits that greeted us in our room, the service overall was excellent (the little bottle of fresh milk in the morning is a really great touch). Only because I don't like giving perfect results the children noted the pillows were slightly softer than they would like (no really that was the best we could come up with). We will 100% book again in the future.

6/10 Good

Good points: We (1 adult, two kids) stayed in the Aston Suite and there was plenty of space. The bed was comfortable and large. The bathroom was in good condition and the water pressure was exceptional. There was parking at the pub and EV charging in the public car park at the back of the pub. Not so good: When i booked the room i received confirmation at one price from Expedia and another confirmation from the Mayflower for £25 more. I called to see what was going on and was told it was an extra guest fee, then it was for breakfast - neither was true. On arrival I was assured it was an issue with Expedia and i would only be charged the amount Expedia had confirmed. Luckily I checked my credit card before i checked out because I'd been charged an extra £36. Again told this is an Expedia issue. This all tainted the experience. The refund hasnt come through yet, so yet more chasing and complaining.
