We really enjoyed the cottages. We styed in the Spruce cottage but saw that the other carport had firewood so we are assuming the other cottage has a fireplace. We hope to stay in that cottage next time and have friends join us for a nice long weekend in the winter Otherwise, we loved our experience. So quaint and convenient. We had a great experience.

Easy check in & out. Nice 15 minute walk to downtown where we enjoyed the Victorian Christmas celebration & amazing artisan crafts for sale. Comfortable bed, great coffee and a nice big shower. We loved it!

Near town, thus walkable, for its many options. Hiking and parks nearby. Each cottage is appointed well in terms of simple usage, not overdone. 2nd visit here, where we met some out of town friends, & everything worked out fine. Great coffee for their provided coffeemaker.

Piety Hill Cottages is a cute adorable place. Our room had been refurbished and it was a nice place to stay while visiting Nevada City. Only about .6 miles from downtown making it a good walk to start your day. Thank you Piety!

Great place to stay.

Rooms were clean. It is an older establishment so i wasnt expecting much but it is clean with amenities the same as a high end hotel. They have a courtyard with table and chairs and that is kept clean. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was nice. The kitchenette was great. Close to town.

The first two nights we stayed in Cedar cabin which is large and renovated - super comfortable, loved the simple modern decor. The couch wasn't comfortable though. The bed was super comfy. I made a booking mistake and the staff was able to accommodate us in one of their unrenovated cabins - very cozy and had everything we needed. It was run down but clean and comfortable. We LOVED our stay at Piety cottages and the staff are great.

Beautiful little courtyard for shade and sun. Property exactly as described. Quiet area. Carports for each cottage. Short drive to restaurants/shopping. Easy check in/out. Bed was very comfortable except a little high for me after hip surgery. Great communication with host. We chose this area as it was near the venue we were attending.

Great room, tiny bathroom.

Room was great for what we needed. Bed was very comfortable with good linens. Bathroom was extremely tiny to the point where you had to sit sideways on the toilet because there isn't enough leg room. It didn't really bother us though, although a larger person could have some difficulty with it.

Spacious cottage. Great if you need a full kitchen. Really sleeps 4 with the trundle bed. This property is not handicap accessible. Lots of uneven terrain, steps into the cottages and the shower was a major concern for my father. Thankfully he didn’t fall. The cottage was clean but dumpy and unfortunately run down and old. It needs some major tlc (touch up painting and updating). Motel 6 is better maintained than this cottage. The price didn’t match what we stayed in or what I’m used to staying in for $250 a night. I guess I expected more. I feel we were taken.

This property is one of a kind! By far one of the cleanest places I have stayed and so welcoming. We had a mix up with our reservations so we only got to stay 1 night instead of 2, in the Daphne cottage but it was wonderful. I wouldn’t recommend walking into town from the cottages, it’s a bit of a walk, down hill going but up coming. But a very short drive, we drove into town twice and it was worth it. The manager or owner, not sure which, but she was a delight, helpful from the second I realized something was wrong with our reservation and even more so to help fix the problem! Even noticed our room was still rather cold around 10pm and brought us a space heater…it was a cold evening. I’ll definitely be looking forward to staying here again and they’re dog friendly if you need it!
