"I usually get a day room at City Lodge Hotel on my way out of Joburg. I choose them because they typically have a good online rate for an overnight stay. The hotel is massive - you could easily walk 15 mins to your room if it is at the far end of the footprint. The staff is always lovely and my room and bathroom were very clean and updated this trip. They have also upgraded their hair dryers in the wing where I was. Since I was only there for a few hours, I was grateful they put me in a room that was close to reception. The room is basic and everything you need from a quick stay or day room. "

"Please see my other review. Pros- Great breakfast, accommodating staff, shuttle service to Sandton City Mall and Mandela Square, also walkable to the mall (which is safe during the day). Cons - Pool was not operable, Nothing directly around the hotel like shops or restaurants (but still in a nice area). I highly recommend...I will stay again!"
