"Good option for Franz Josef Glacier. Large complex, we stayed in one of the "treehouse" units. Nice but small. Older folks with large suitcases avoid these, the steps are wet in the rain and steep. Bathroom had heated floors, always a treat. Restaurant was nothing fancy but ok. "

"A great place to stay. What they do they do well. Very comfortable. We stayed 3 nights. We cooked dinner each now night. Although there wasn’t anyone around we could call someone in charge if needed. Room was clean and tidy. Heater worked a treat and was on when we arrived at check in which is a nice welcoming touch as still cold outside. "

"We were super-comfortable in our small suite with everything we needed for a thoroughly enjoyable 3 night stay.
There were wonderful views out on to the Fox range mountains, and only a 5min walk from the excellent and very atmosphetic Cook and Saddle cafe.
Lake Matheson with its memorable rainforest walk, the mirrored reflections of Mtns Tasman and Cook, and the welcoming cafe offering excellent fare to eat and drink - as well as a local artist's gallery - was a real bonus.
Thanks, Andy, for a...

"We had a wonderful time at the motel. Great views from the room. From the reception and visitor information staff and the house cleaning team all amazing."

"We booked the Grand Suite with mountain view and regretted it. The view was foliage and a garden!
The room was dark, tired and smelly! We downgraded to a mountain view standard room which did have a mountain view! Obviously no refund!
The hotel was being run by one member of staff who worked incredibly hard but this clearly meant a lower level of service. Breakfast was only served from 8-9am and had be to ordered the previous evening. Dirty breakfast dishes had to cleared by guests and placed...

58 On Cron Motel
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was very good. Great location. Staff were wonderful. Kitchenette a little hard to cook in but as to be expected for a motel. Highly recommend. Clean facilities. Nice shower. "
"This place exceeded my expectations! I initially thought it would be more like a lodge or motel, but it turned out to be beautifully luxurious and incredibly cozy. The bed is very comfortable, and the room is spacious and well-appointed. The staff are generally friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The only slight downside is that the view isn’t particularly impressive, but everything else more than makes up for it. Highly recommended! 🌟"
