Found this quiet beautiful town when rearranging my trip and enjoyed a beautiful sunny day and walk on the cliffs nearby. Quaint and beautiful area (looks different in bad weather though). Very friendly staff. Small room with nice view. Church within hotel with some history.

Diana & Daniel from the reception of Hotel Fransiskus are the only ones replied my special requests regarding room selection. Staff are friendly. Breakfast has plenty of selections. Parking lots are below the building. You need to walk up a bit, but not difficult.

Great hotel in a repurposed convent, situated on a promontory overlooking the harbour and ocean Rooms were nicely furnished and decent size Breakfast was included and the array of variety of foods was amazing They even had cauldrons of soup available Would recommend Hotel Fransiskus if visiting the West Fjords area as a great place to stop

We noted arriving to our room that there was a coffee machine but no electric kettle. The staff quickly send one to our room. We stayed in a family room for 4 and it was perfect. The beds were all proper beds and this being our 4th night in Iceland, it was the most comfortable by far. The room was clean and spacious. Kettle could be requested at the front desk. Had the view of the harbour from the room and what a lovely sunset view Grear location with short walk to the harbour. Will definitely recommend this great hotel.
