The hotel was excellent! Beautiful suite with a large balcony. Centrally located within easy walking distance from all the main sites in Lecce. The owner and staff were wonderful. We had a wonderful stay at Casa Mamma Elvira, which is in the old city. A lovely welcome from Serena, the owner, who showed us to our room which was a beautiful suite and private terrace. There was a fridge with a mini bar and bottles of local wine to purchase. We had a problem with our air conditioning early on which was dealt with very promptly Breakfast was continental style with plenty of choice including local savoury and sweet options which Serena explained to us.

Staying at Casa Mamma Elvira's was like staying with a great friend. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with such friendly reception. The room was spacious and clean with a nice cool air conditioning. It is the perfect location to get to all of the major attractions in the city. Parking is difficult, and I'd suggest just right away parking in the overnight lot nearby. It is managed with security, so you do not have to worry about your car. The breakfast was such a delight! Not only was the food delicious, they were genuinely happy to serve us and we were able to have wonderful conversation. This is a hotel that knows true hospitality!

Best Lecce accommodaton

What a new beautiful hotel in a perfect spot in the historic center. It is situated no more than 15 minutes to everything that a visitor could require. The area is as picturesque as our apartment that consisted of a well stocked kitchen, a small sitting room on entry, a table, sofa bed, large bedroom with a shower ensuite. The ceiling is breathtaking, the room is quiet and clean. There is a variety of wine for purchase in the room and the breakfast is plentiful with variety including the traditional barley bread soaked in water to soften& topped with seasoning, fresh tomatoes and olive oil. Serena is a beautiful kind person who checked us in, accompanied us to our room and showed it to us with obvious pride. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thank you Serena.

Incredible people and place

We have been travelling across southern Italy for three weeks and have stayed in several places which were all nice friendly and clean, but Casa Mamma Elvira stands above the rest for us. The location is central to everything that is historically important to see, and also central to many restaurants and shops. We ate at Mamma Elvira Cucina ,which is adjacent to the B&B and it was amazing, both the service and the food. The staff at the B&B were so kind, friendly and accommodating a special thank you to Marcida who went out of her way and as everyone there always greeted us with a smile. If we could give them more than 5 stars we would !

Amazing place to place in the heart of Lecce ! The team there is adorable they upgraded us to a deluxe suite !!! The suite is huge and very comfy, the food options are so many, everything is on walking distance, the breakfast is delicious and the personnel is very helpful (will tell you what are the best beaches around ) the deco is tasteful and original, loved it !!!!

This is a superb property and we loved our 3 night stay. Our host, lovely Serena, upgraded our room to an apartment, and it was fabulous, so much room and meticulously maintained. The fabulous breakfast spread was a treat, and was well managed by the joyful and efficient Paola. The property also has restaurants close by and we ate at one of them for 2 nights. The property is in a great location and our room was very quiet. A super stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in CME. It's located in a small, quiet alley and is very centrally located. The rooms are clean, and there is a kitchen if needed. The best part of our stay were Serena at the front desk, and Paula who took care of us at breakfast. I can't say enough of how friendly and helpful they were. Paula helped book a private boat trip at the last minute, which was wonderful.
