The service from the staff was fantastic but the conditions of the room didn’t match the price tag. For almost $200 a night I don’t expect to stay in a room that has a ripped curtain, a very noticeable rip.

Way to expensive for what it is

Go to Cocoe Lodge for the view, nothing else. The rooms are quiet big and comfortable but the bathroom had dubious black spots on the tiles ( probably mold) The biggest disappointment though was the food. It was terrible and we tried a lot of different dishes. The carpe braisée was tasteless, the Kedjenou was basically boiled tomato with a lot of pepper and the “Pizza” was a piece of cardboard with a bit of cheap yam. Oh and your experience wouldn’t be full without the breakfast buffet. Just try the rotten papaya slices

Had some great time. Pool is great room are spacious and clean. Breakfast is good. Food is good but quite expensive and lack choices. We had to wait an hour for an hour for our meal to come from the main kitchen to lodge.

Great property and a nice place to stay overall. The biggest problem was a WIFI outage in our room during our stay, which is very debilitating if you don't have a local phone with internet. The breakfast food was not the greatest either. Aside from that, the staff is great and contribute to an overall good experience.

Nice stay, but a bit overpriced

Although the lodge promotes lunches and sundowners on the beach part of the hotel, this service was not offered during our stay, as apparently this is not done out of season. The price of the room was quite expensive compared to the status of the room. If I compare with lodges in other parts of the continent, this is really overpriced value/money

We are regulars at Coucoué. You really get a great value with this hotel. The staff is great, the rooms are beautiful and the food is wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel. It is the best in Assinie.

UNSATISFIED ENVIRONMENT AND SERVICES

My booked the hotel for my client and they complained about the air conditioner not working, they could not stay at the hotel. They moved to another hotel and since its was a non refundable rates. we have to let go, only if Hotels.com choose to refund us .

Cockroaches everywhere! Room 30 on the night of May 28, 2021. In the shower, on the walls, on the bed, on the headboard, on the table, on the refrigerator, on the bathroom walls, near my grandchild’s head! Constantly for hours we killed cockroaches. It was the most disgusted thing ever! They left bug spray in the room which meant they were aware of the cockroach infested problem but that didn’t stop the cockroaches! We had to spray down the beds with the insect repellent we brought along with us that was meant for our bodies! We also used the whole can of spray! We couldn’t take a shower because we sprayed the bugs off the walls in the bathroom and they floated in the water of the bathroom floor. There was no drain in the bathroom floor for the water or bugs to go down in so my husband had to pick these critters up one by one to remove them. There is NO PHONE, NO INTERNET, NO TV and at 10:30pm there was NO WATER! The restaurant food is overpriced and causes my stomach to be upset and of all the times, we had no toilet water for me to use the toilet. It’s extremely dark at night and you are left on the opposite side of the lagoon. The guy who whistles for the boat to come was asleep when we attempting to catch a boat to get to the main check in area to use a toilet. I finally got a signal from my cellphone and called the front office multiple times and no one answered. Then finally after the 3rd attempt, someone who did not speak English.
