This hotel is historic and charming. The staff are professional and friendly as well as helpful. The rooms are comfortable, although they are building a Metro extension right out front, so eventually it'll be noisy!

The room was clean but the wardrobe was run down. The carpets really need a change. There was a typical carpet smell in the hotel. The bath tub was tiny and barely space to stand in it to shower. The shower stand was broken. The breakfast was decent.

The building is 100 years old and a bit of a time capsule. The location is fantastic if you arrive by train at Coimbra-A as it's a 3 minute walk away. Lots of good restaurants in the street behind the hotel. The staff were super helpful with ideas and maps -- much better than the official tourism office staff!

Great hotel

Great stay in a hotel with lots of character! It is situated in a perfect location: walkable distance to iconos, restaurantes. Staff very helpful! Room had a great view to the river. Street a little noisy but the view was marvelous! Bed comfy. Good breakfast! I would stay in again!

It’s a nostalgic hotel with a lot of antique furniture set in a mood of 1930s. Location is super convenient. We have the river view which is so beautiful. Thr room is spacious and with a big balcony. Staff is friendly and super efficient. They provide a lot of useful tourist information and dining options. Breakfast is sumptuous and delicious too!

A grand old dame of a honey era, if those walls could talk. Must have been something in its time. If you are looking for all the things a modern hotel offers you might want to pass. Bem localizado, mas muito velho!

O hotel, apesar de muito rico, arquitetonicamente, é muito velho e necessita de uma reforma urgente. Aspecto de sujo e mal acabado, muitas partes em madeira velha, banheiro ultrapassado, sem fluxo de água, banheira com rachaduras, metais muito usados. Móveis antigos, piso que range quando caminha. Café da manhã com produtos de ma qualidade, frutas velhas, pouca opção. Apesar de bem localizado, não recomendo hospedar ali.
