Wonderful and friendly staff. Wonderful setting. Food was good. Rooms were good. Because of environmental conditions outside the control of the hotel we did not hike, but we are looking forward to returning there.

A country lodge. Popular with Tauck tours. Chefs in the kitchen were a highlight with good flavor and fresh ingredients. Good hiking on trails leading from the lodge. Indoor pool and dock for canoes, etc. offers a harbor tour by pontoon but engine was out of order.

Beautiful area, very friendly staff. Clean! Some spots in room look “tired” (deck door). Otherwise, very quiet & nice spot

We really liked the waiter Tony in the dining room. He went above what one would expect to make your dining experience pleasant. We liked the heat pumps in the cottage.

I’ve been coming to the lodge for 30 yrs, the chalets and cabins are looking tired and it’s a large property to keep on top of

The property was adequate but need considerable attention to it physical plant. The internet connection was very spotty. The sliding door to the balcony didn’t lock.

Nice and relaxing. Restaurant food was amazing. I have celiac and there were a large selection of options. Even dedicated fryers

Great resort, location, activities (hike, pool, kayak, restaurant). Management could pay more attention to details like only one hanger provided, curtain was not well placed on the rod, clock time was not set up, room was a bit cold in fall, animal spaces seem small at the hobby farm
2-night trip

We stayed in the cabin/chalet. The cabin was extremely dated. The bathroom was in really poor disrepair with mold on the tiles, faucets that pulled out of the wall when you used them and not very private with the barn door style bathroom door. There was a knot of wires and cables to power and operate the TV, electric fireplace and who knows what else. The plumbing and electrical in the cabin we were in really really needs to be upgraded and repaired to make it more presentable That said, the restaurant and food was way above average and the lodge was really interesting. The grounds and nature features were in really great shape

Great

Very pleasant. Very nice room which included grab bar in the shower so safety for elderly and infirm is accommodated. Food is good. Laundry is available. Room had lovely view of river. A few years younger and we would have done the hiking trails.

Overall it was a good stay. I mentioned the first night that there wasn't a phone in my room. Front desk did nothing to fix this. There is no cell service. And when you order take out at the restaurant they call your room. With no phone in room ( I mentioned this already when I went up first time) I walked up to the lodge again to see if my food was ready and it had been sitting there cold for at least 20 minutes. It should of been re made. Other than that everything was great stay.

Chester is the best!

I stayed at Liscomb Lodge in the past, when there was a cabin dedicated to a games room. We had a blast! Since then, it has been moved to a room inside a separate building. The equipment was barely usable, if at all. And because there was a wedding that evening, it was too packed to even access it. This was a big disappointment. We had to rent a bbq for $25, instead of each cabin having its own, as many facilities do. The swimming pool/hot tub/sauna building is in need of a major facelift. The hiking trails haven't been groomed in a while, which made it less enjoyable. On the positive side, we enjoyed kayaking/paddle boarding for free. And we went on the boat tour with Chester. He educated us on the local history and provided us with a fabulous experience. Overall, itnwas a "so so" experience.

Wonderful stay.

We checked in late without a reservation but were greeted warmly. Our room in the hotel was delightful, especially the balcony with the view of the river. The pool and two spas were luxurious. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast, and had a chance to walk to the waterfall after breakfast. It was hard to leave after only one night. We highly recommend!
Waterfall on the grounds just a short walk from the main lodge.
The indoor pool and spas have their own showers and locker rooms.
Lovely view from our hotel room balcony.

10/10 Exceptional

This is a fabulous lodge of the variety rarely seen anymore, offering personal service, a great onsite restaurant, and lots of included amenities, all on a picturesque riverfront setting. It is not a new property, made in a cookie cutter variety or modern design! If you can only enjoy those sort of places, stay away! But otherwise, you will be delighted, we were!
Peter, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Food was spectacular and we loved the pool, farm animals, kayaking and fishing.
Adrienne, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Beautiful older resort property with a lot to offer, walking trails, dock, kayaks, boat rides, pools and hot tubs. Staff and restaurant is excellent! Very friendly. This is a low key old style resort, don’t go looking for high end finishes and glam, do go for maritime hospitality, excellent food and quiet downtime.

The hotel and rooms were very outdated. An upgrade is well needed. Food in the restaurant and service were good. And the free use of the canoes and bikes etc. was nice

Richard, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

This was in a beautiful area and the restaurant was amazing. The staff were super helpful and friendly. It feels like things are in a bit of disrepair and I assume that unless they put some effort into upkeep the now minor issues will become worse overtime. The swinging bridge was closed but not advertised as such on the website. If this is important to you, call. It didn’t look/sound like there were plans to fix it. If you have a camping mindset when you book, this will be a great experience; if you have a resort/hotel experience in mind, you may be unhappy judging from the chalet we stayed in. Highly recommend the boat tour, seafood chowder, burger, and Sherbrooke Village (15min away). We really enjoyed our time there but we were looking for that camping/fishing/hiking atmosphere😊.
