Beautiful place to stay with outside terrace and bar. The spa was lovely, although the pool a little cold The bar and terrace was closed the second night we were there for a private function, disappointed we wouldn’t use it and no other provision was made for residents to have a drink. There is a large restaurant area and some of this could have been used.

2 night stay. Loches is a wonderful town. Hotel is very clean and front desk service excellent. Room was very clean and well equipped. Did not have breakfast but did have evening meals in the restaurant. Food very good if a bit pricey. Only 4 stars as service on last night in bar and restaurant was very slow and staff were seemingly disorganised. Rooms pricey as not including breakfast but a good base to stay.

Great location in the centre of Loches. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. We had a "Standard Room, queen bed" which transpired to be on the 2nd floor under the roof. Things to Note: 1. There may not be a fridge in the room (ours was too small to allow, but cant tell if this was true for all rooms). 2. You may be allocated a room on 2nd floor which is under the roof and may contain interesting wood beams but will only have a velux window and no view. 3. The Parking offered is in the public square outside the hotel. Spaces are free but cannot be guaranteed.

Wonderful hotel in restored historic building

Magnificent sympathetically recently restored former Palais de Justice insuperb setting in the beautiful historic city of Loches. The room, the breakfast and particularly the staff were of the highest quality. The only negative was the evening meal. A very limited menu, with main course comprising a tiny parcel of pork with 3 different types of courgette!! Not the most interesting vegetable and cooking it three different ways did not inmo improve this. In addition, the wine was poorly served, again inmo! I ordered a Vouvray to start with and a Chirouble to accompany the main course. I had not finished the white wine when the wine waiter (manager?) poured the red wine into the same glass! even though there was white wine unfinished. A disappointing meal but this did not detract from our stay in this most impressive hotel. Word of advice, we would recommend L’Entract and The Hotel de France for diner.- both excellent

Séjour en famille à Loches

Séjour en famille de 3 nuits. Chambre en mezzanine, un peu moins belle qu’attendu (papier peint rayé pas aussi classe que le reste de l’hôtel) et sans coin salon, mais fonctionnelle, avec une entrée desservant chambre enfants, salle d’eau et toilettes (qui peuvent être fermées pour isoler par rapport à la chambre adulte en mezzanine). Très bel hôtel par ailleurs, avec personnel très professionnel, piscine et coin jeu (billard, baby foot, console de jeu). On recommande le menu midi (20€ entrée/plat/dessert il me semble) et apéro/tapas sur la terrasse face a la cité royale
